Draft sample. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sour citrus and spruce hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. Very good brew.
2.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 thedm (4772) - Fort Wayne, USA - AUG 18, 2012
This draft brew from a beer festival poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a softly carbonated light orange brown colored body. The aroma was mild hop. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 queenholly (1830) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - AUG 5, 2012
Tap at Brewhaven. Piney citrus hops, sweet candied orange, caramel malt aroma. Light amber with a small off-white head. Sweet orange and caramel malt, piney orange-y hops flavor. Great balance. Medium full sticky body. Very nice IPA
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 574deadzone (535) - North Central, Indiana, USA - JUL 7, 2012
Pours a darker gold to amber with a nice fluffy eggshell head. Nose is awesome: lots of citrus and resiny pine, the familiar centennial hop notes. Taste is richly bitter, but some substantial sweetness comes out after a while. Palate is fuller than medium, nice and dry with a long bitter finish. A standout IPA. The first whiff was like opening a christmas present. Good stuff.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 BBB63 (5406) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - JUL 4, 2012
Tap at brewery: Deep golden hue with a small frothy head, spotty lace. The aroma has a nice hit of grapefruit, mango, pepper, pine with some bready malt, a bit minerally and metallic. The taste opens with an aggressive bitterness but mellows toward a moderate balance with mild malt backbone. Some tiny touch of crystal malt like sweetness. A bit metallic and tannic. The palate is lively, sharp and dry clean finish. This is very nice, biting and citric ale. Yeah, I could some liver damage if I had bought a growler of this. Yeah Chip!
