Hopped with East Kent Goldings and Cascade hops the IPA features over 65 IBU’s. Balanced with sweet caramel malts the generous amount of hops lead to it’s sharp citrus flavor.

On draught at the City Lounge in Cudahy, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-hazy orange amber brew with a creamy off-white head that has some good retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of sweet citrus hops, a touch of caramel malt, some toffee and some light Mandarin oranges. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of grapefruit zest, light caramel and some mild orange. Finish has a lingering mild bitterness that has a light aftertaste of grapefruit and caramel malt.

Draught at City Lounge. Orange/Amber colored with med sized head, nice lacing. Faint hoppy aroma. A medium bitter finish, though a bit thin compared with other IPAs I’ve had recently. Decent, but not great.

I want to like this beer more than I do. For one, I love IPAs, and if it weren’t for my love for / obsession with stouts and other Beers Dark, I’d consider myself a hophead. That said, this one just doesn’t do it. It’s hoppy, and has that citrus bite, but it doesn’t last. It’s like a light IPA. But still a nice session beer and above average.

On tap at the Landmark 1850 in Milwaukee, this is a pretty good beer. Not overly hoppy in the nose or mouth, which isn’t a bad thing. More carmel and light floral, earthy hops for flavor. Also very foamy in the mouthfeel. Not a great beer for hop heads, but I really enjoyed it.

Hazy dark golden color with an off-white head. Mild aromas of caramel malt and a short burst of lightly citric hops. Dry caramel start with an earthy herbal hops balancing flavor. A woody linger that begs to be quenched, but the next swallow repeats the process.
