Iki is japanese for life and let you enjoy it. iki beer is a nice, fresh and thirst quenching beer. Brewed with Japanese green tea (Sencha) and Yuzu citrus fruit. The special brew method keeps the healthy aspects of this beer maintained.

0,33l botle . Pours pale yellow murky cloudy with white thick head. Aromas citrus, wheat, fruits. Palate is medium full-bodied watery with smooth slick medium carbonation, texture mouthful. Taste has witbier kind of middle taste with wheat-like yeasty structure and bitter acidic finish in mouth. Green tea bitterness is somewhat distinct in the finish. Quite interesting and refreshing style, thereís definitely some similarities with Belgian witbiers (see brewed by...), but the taste is more sweet in the finish. Green tea and yuzu flavours are nominal. Could drink this again.

Had a 12oz bottle "iki" in a sushi place in Taipei, Taiwan. Appearance : Hazy, pale yellow color, with white foam head doesnít last long. Flavor: malts, citrus and some tea. Smell : grain and somehow fruity. Taste and mouthfel : Light bodied, very little bitterness, fruity (from the yuzu juice), elegant flavor from the sencha(Japanese green tea) Drinkability : A perfect beer to pair with decent food, like sushi. I have to say I was not really into this beer at the beginning, however, the end of the night I had 4 bottles because itís just perfect to pair with Japanese food. Good stuff! Serving type: bottle

This is my favorite beer. I have tried a lot of different lagers, but this one is the most refreshable and soft.

Bottle of 33cl. A mix between green tea and yuzu... A good packaging where we notify a good choice for the sitcker. Simple & effective. In the mouth, I donít find the typical taste of yuzu. Look like a traditional lager beer... Just a little bitterness recalls the cousin of the lemon... To sum up: good marketing but the taste donít follow the promises...

33 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 31.05.2011
Aroma is stale and somewhat ashy with some grainy malt. Flavour is ashy and stale with the haystack aroma familiar to green tea. Also some grainy malt. Just like the label says, very refreshing at the recommended temperature (4-6įC). But nothing much.

Bottle 33cl, a cloudy yellow beer with huge head. Nose is slightly lemony. Aroma is slightly malty and wheat like, agrumes notes, light body, not agressive, just a refreshing beer for the summer with lemon notes. Green tea notes are low and present only on aftertaste.

Bottle from the Asien-Supermarkt down the street, by 30/05/12. Sweet floral nose with a surprisingly nice malt base; citrus and some spice, prickles a little bit like ginger, but thereís something else sparkling (musty tea leaves? no idea). Very pale yellow-golden with a lacing and rocky white head of the Duvel variety. Taste is very dry and has a nice attempt at bread in the finish. Light body is smooth and definitely has the smouldering low-burn tannic feel of tea, with only light bitterness. Even an extremely light touch of smoke in the back, unless my wires are crossed. Lemongrass. Thin but mildly warming (think extremely diluted ginger water; thereís no alcohol here). Scanning the reviews below, Iím a little confused, as thereís no trace of wheat for me, and all the comparisons to a weak wheat beer just seem way off base. Well, itís a fresh bottle, and itís not great, but it is mildly interesting (theyíre getting the tea in there in a subtler and more repeatable way than, say, Left Hand did with their TNT) with potential to accompany food well, and Iíd be glad to mosey up to another.

The dominant taste is that of sweetness, which follows all the way into the finish, it is very fruity. Thereís very little bitterness. Aroma is also sweet, of fruits (apples) and honey. The colour is hazy yellow and the head is white. (Bottle)

330 ml bottle. Hazy yellow colour, thick white head. Aroma of wheaty malt and citrus fruits. The flavour is wheaty-malty, with notes of citrus fruits and some unpleasant vegetable elements.
