Iki is japanese for life and let you enjoy it. iki beer is a nice, fresh and thirst quenching beer. Brewed with Japanese green tea (Sencha) and Yuzu citrus fruit. The special brew method keeps the healthy aspects of this beer maintained.

bottle from el corte ingles palma mallorca. cloudy yellow, white head. very mild aroma, i donít get any tea. faint note of malts thouh. flavor is or seems to be pretty straight lager, with a little bit of herbal tea added. flavor is in fact pretty good, well brewed, and quenching. You have the dryness youíd expect from an european lager of some quality, and then a delicate sweet herbal note from tea. even if i try i can not taste any yuzu in here. perhaps i donít know the fruit well enough.

Semi-cloudy, green-yellow with a small white head. Aroma has grain, yeast and leaf. Very mild. Taste has citrus, grain, yeast. Quite mild. Easy carbonation. More like a soft drink really, minus the sweetness.

Licht troebel lichtgeel bier zonder schuim. Smaak is zoet en kruidig, thee met fruit, abrikoos. Apart bier meer goed te drinken, alleen wat licht van smaak.

Golden colour, fine bubbles, very cloudy, nice creamy foam. Agrums, hop, a bit astringent, very light bitterness. Actually more pleasant for the eye than for nose and palate. Well, and what about the "Japanese" character? I just donít see the point - (true) Japanes food deserves better beers. And as far as tea is concerned, if you enjoy green (Japanese or not) tea, itís far better to drink green tea !
