Iki is japanese for life and let you enjoy it. iki beer is a nice, fresh and thirst quenching beer. Brewed with Japanese green tea (Sencha) and Yuzu citrus fruit. The special brew method keeps the healthy aspects of this beer maintained.

Cherry aroma at opening, but has some irritating aroma at the finish. Lager golden with nice white foam, the taste is overwhelmed by green tea with some faint citrus.

Poured a hazy light amber with a frothy off white head. Aroma of sweet fruit and tea. Light body, flavour of the aroma, lightly spiced.

Bottle of 33cl, in a Trappist glass. First of all, very nice bottle look but come on, it’s not a real Japanese beer ! Good light aroma, but very slightly perceptible... Great cloudy golden lager appearance. For the taste and palate, we can easily taste the green tea which overhelm all the taste, like the beer said. In fact, we’re in front of a good, but not best, beer. It’s a lager with tea... Try it for sure !

- Alcoholpercentage van 4,5% - Biertje gedronken destijds dat me niet kon bekoren - Kan me veel lekkerder biertjes voorstellen, maar kan met mijn smaakvoorstelling te maken hebben - Vandaar mijn lage beoordeling ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer is brewed with green tea extracts and Yuzu, an asian citrus fruit that is far different to the citrus fruits we know. Nevertheless it gives an fresh citric taste to the beer. This in combination with a sharp, spicy side note and a smooth overall palate is truely nice to drink. Especially IPA lovers should give this beer a try! A light beer with character and a flavoured beer that doesn’t hurt me. Well done!

Pours hazy yellow with a white head that disappears quickly. Taste has very noticable citrus with yeasty tones and high carbonation. An enjoyable fruit pilsener.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2014 330ml bottle poured in a Leffe chalice. A: First of all, nice bottle art. Makes you really think that it’s a Japanese beer. Pours a pale and quite hazy yellow color. A huge white bubbled head is formed whenever it’s poured. Good retention and a lot of lacings left S: Very spicy in the nose. You can feel wheat, yeasts and very citrus-grassy hops. Also orange zest (Yuzu, which is a sort of Japanese orange, is mentioned as part of the formula), honey and something unusual that I suppose is green tea T: Very distinct beer. Tastes is also very rich and spicy. Wheat, orange zest, honey, green tea, yeasts. In overall, a dry beer with very discreet sweetness. Very pleasant citrus hoppy bitterness M: Creamy, molasses and I would dare to say, a bit slimy mothfeel. Medium carbonation O: An original brew. Different from the other herb-spicy beers that I’ve had before [ BA Review @ 2/26/2012 ]
