3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 from Corti Bros. Pours reddish orange with a modest beige head and a distinct chestnut aroma. There is a smoky caramel malt flavor with a very earthy feel and a bone dry finish. This is an unusual brew that, surprisingly, tastes pretty good to me, but itís not for everyone. It does, indeed, go well with ripe cheese.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Capped 750 from Corti Bros. in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy amber with a near white head. Light aromas of yellow stone fruit, caramel and nuts. Med body. Flavor is sweetish malt with light fruit and something very like chestnut. Perhaps a bit of smoke in the finish. Somehow the whole thing works out fairly balanced.
