Bottle. Very resiny sticky hoppy nose. Taste-first note is straight bitter. Then it thins out. Not a whole lot going on here besides bitterness, cardboard, and medium malts. Mildly sweet.

bottle. pours a light tan with a grey thin head. aroma is sugary sweet caramel. taste is bitter cardboard with a sticky mouthfeel. seems like a lot of crystal malt in this sucker, or something else that reminds me of it. this is too sweet and sticky for me, it is not enjoyable and a lingering corn taste remains. this is not good, but judging by what i see others thought of it, i might keep an eye out to rerate this if i have a chance.

[At GABF 2004] A hazy orange beer with a small off-white head. The aroma is sweet and very grassy and hoppy, while the flavor contains lots of hop oils, with a dry grassy end.

Bottle. Thanks Brock Landers! Nice nose of great pineapple and citrus. pours a nice orange amber with a great haze... this one smells awesome and tastes good too. A little hit of sweetness then into the wonderful hops. I love those Cascades! Decent body, but I would have liked a little more substance to it. Still quite good. Pretty nice beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dirty hazy orange color, with a lacy head. Lots of apricot aromas dominating, with an herbal, tea-like hop aroma. More of the apricot like maltiness in the flavor, along with some dusty flavors and an earthy bitter finish. Quite different, in that the focus seems to be on fruity hops and malts rather than simple, crude crushing bitterness.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from some liqour store in CO Springs. Pours a nice orangey red with a dense beige head. Aroma is very nice...pine, hops, and some nice caramelish malt. Taste is even better....big hop malt mix....toffeish, yet piney and hoppy....nicely balanced. Mouthfeel is slick and full. Nice and clean in the end with good hop bitterness. Yum.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a glowing hazy copper orange with an off-white head that goes to a soapy film that leaves some lacing.
The aroma is sweet sugary caramel and toffee malts, some figs, and some piney, resinous woody hops.
Its flavor is sweet caramel and toffee initially leading to a piney hop bang with a long sticky bitter aftertaste. The mouthfeel is smooth and velvety with just the right amount of carbonation, but does seem slightly watery at times.
Overall an excellent IPA! Vey nicely balanced.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clearish yelllow/copper color with some head and not much lacing. Great bready/malty nose with notes of grapefruit lemon, and candy. Nice hop bitterness and flavor with good malt profile. A very smooth and clean IPA that has a good lingering bitterness.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
GABF 2004: Pours a clear semi-hazy golden with a white frothy head. Aroma is piney and hoppy with a touch of malty sweetness. Mild candy-like, hoppy sweetness and caramel malt flavor throughout the body. Has a crisp, clean, dry semi-balanced finish. A nice IPA, but could’ve used some more balance and a fuller hoppy bitterness.

4.1 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear yellowish orange with a fantastic white head. The head dies within minutes but soon displays a ring around the corner of the glass that laces quite well.
Unbelieveable aroma. Straight hops! Grapefruits, wood, melted candy, lemon and red hair from marijuana buds. Nice aroma!
Seems to be lacking flavor up front but finishes great. Grapefruit, pine and some unusual flavors that I enjoyed but simply could not identify. Overall pretty tasty!
