3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Basic caramel-sweet nose with a green pepper / pine hop zest. Nicely blended and balanced combination of woody green pepper and orangey hops with a doughy caramel malt base. Somewhat thin mouthfeel but it fits the strenth of the beer. A nice IPA.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap in Albuquerque, NM. Hazy red-copper color with little or no head. Fresh hops, citrus peel, and some earth in the aroma. Citrus and earth again in the flavor with some single-layered hops and nice bitterness. Fresh and crisp but not remarkably so. Light-bodied with a certain amount of depth leaving a medium bitter finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle acquired in trade with Ernest (thanks!). Poured a darker amber color with a very small sized off white head. Main aroma of pine and peppers with some caramel and grapefruit. Tastes of grapefruit, caramel and some toffee with a peppery finish. A decent IPA but just lacked something I couldn’t quite put my finger on.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Very resiny sticky hoppy nose. Taste-first note is straight bitter. Then it thins out. Not a whole lot going on here besides bitterness, cardboard, and medium malts. Mildly sweet.

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
bottle. pours a light tan with a grey thin head. aroma is sugary sweet caramel. taste is bitter cardboard with a sticky mouthfeel. seems like a lot of crystal malt in this sucker, or something else that reminds me of it. this is too sweet and sticky for me, it is not enjoyable and a lingering corn taste remains. this is not good, but judging by what i see others thought of it, i might keep an eye out to rerate this if i have a chance.

[At GABF 2004] A hazy orange beer with a small off-white head. The aroma is sweet and very grassy and hoppy, while the flavor contains lots of hop oils, with a dry grassy end.

Bottle. Thanks Brock Landers! Nice nose of great pineapple and citrus. pours a nice orange amber with a great haze... this one smells awesome and tastes good too. A little hit of sweetness then into the wonderful hops. I love those Cascades! Decent body, but I would have liked a little more substance to it. Still quite good. Pretty nice beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dirty hazy orange color, with a lacy head. Lots of apricot aromas dominating, with an herbal, tea-like hop aroma. More of the apricot like maltiness in the flavor, along with some dusty flavors and an earthy bitter finish. Quite different, in that the focus seems to be on fruity hops and malts rather than simple, crude crushing bitterness.
