A perfect blend of Cascade, Centennial, and Northern Brewer hops gives this classic India Pale Ale the kind of robust flavor that Il Vicino restaurants are known for. This lush hop character is layered with rich malt undertones to create a tasty and satisfying ale. Tawny-hued and aromatic, Wet Mountain IPA is a brew you won't soon forget. NOTE: Bottled version is contract brewed by Bristol Brewing Company.

Draught at Il Vicino’s in Colorado Springs. Pours cloudy amber with ruby and copper hints with a tiny white head; spotty lacing. Huge pine hop fragrant perfumey hop floral aroma. Pine hop and sweet citrus hop flavor with an orange caramel malt body. Spicy and medium bodied palate.

Bottle acquired in trade with Ernest (thanks!). Poured a darker amber color with a very small sized off white head. Main aroma of pine and peppers with some caramel and grapefruit. Tastes of grapefruit, caramel and some toffee with a peppery finish. A decent IPA but just lacked something I couldn’t quite put my finger on.

Bottle. Very resiny sticky hoppy nose. Taste-first note is straight bitter. Then it thins out. Not a whole lot going on here besides bitterness, cardboard, and medium malts. Mildly sweet.

bottle. pours a light tan with a grey thin head. aroma is sugary sweet caramel. taste is bitter cardboard with a sticky mouthfeel. seems like a lot of crystal malt in this sucker, or something else that reminds me of it. this is too sweet and sticky for me, it is not enjoyable and a lingering corn taste remains. this is not good, but judging by what i see others thought of it, i might keep an eye out to rerate this if i have a chance.

[At GABF 2004] A hazy orange beer with a small off-white head. The aroma is sweet and very grassy and hoppy, while the flavor contains lots of hop oils, with a dry grassy end.

Bottle. Thanks Brock Landers! Nice nose of great pineapple and citrus. pours a nice orange amber with a great haze... this one smells awesome and tastes good too. A little hit of sweetness then into the wonderful hops. I love those Cascades! Decent body, but I would have liked a little more substance to it. Still quite good. Pretty nice beer.

Dirty hazy orange color, with a lacy head. Lots of apricot aromas dominating, with an herbal, tea-like hop aroma. More of the apricot like maltiness in the flavor, along with some dusty flavors and an earthy bitter finish. Quite different, in that the focus seems to be on fruity hops and malts rather than simple, crude crushing bitterness.

Bottle from some liqour store in CO Springs. Pours a nice orangey red with a dense beige head. Aroma is very nice...pine, hops, and some nice caramelish malt. Taste is even better....big hop malt mix....toffeish, yet piney and hoppy....nicely balanced. Mouthfeel is slick and full. Nice and clean in the end with good hop bitterness. Yum.

Pours a glowing hazy copper orange with an off-white head that goes to a soapy film that leaves some lacing.

The aroma is sweet sugary caramel and toffee malts, some figs, and some piney, resinous woody hops.

Its flavor is sweet caramel and toffee initially leading to a piney hop bang with a long sticky bitter aftertaste. The mouthfeel is smooth and velvety with just the right amount of carbonation, but does seem slightly watery at times.

Overall an excellent IPA! Vey nicely balanced.
