50cl PET at some pancake place in Riga. Pours clear dark brown with almost no head. Dark malty and bready aroma with caramel and notes of dark fruits. Sweet and bready without any signs of bitterness. Quite okay, but a bit too sweet.

1,5L PET bottle. Hazy dark dark brown color, almost black. Medium size, brown head, disappears. Sweet, dark bread, roasty aroma. Horribly sweet, plastic, bready taste. Huhhh sickly sweet. Some milkiness in aftertaste.

PET 1,5l bottle in Berlin, named as Tanheiser. Almost same label. Importer is Latvian, with Berlin address. Dark brown black body. Head is minimal but thick. Aroma predominantly bread, malts and some citrus and roasted malts. Palate is thin and carbonation medium crispy.. Taste is sweet, little tart, with strong malty bread. Porter flavor brings out very nice touch to this Kvas, and although the b flavors. Basis of the Kvas is similar to other (somewhat over-sweet), but this one stays drinkable. Recommended.

This was a new thing for me. Russian stuff or? Its too sweet for me, thought i found a good alternative for my pregnant better half but no. Still fun to taste. Backlog. sweet raisin, malty very little hoppy. From PET bottle straight from tap from an angry latvian lady in the big market

larsga (5967) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 3, 2013
Thin brown head. Slightly hazy deep dark red body. Earthy raisiny rye bread aroma with faint tomato ketchup notes. Sweet rye bread, honey and raisins taste with spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, flat mouthfeel. Dryish roasty earthy raisiny aftertaste with spicy syrupy notes. Not bad, but too sweet and one-dimensional. (0.5l PET bottle, from Stockmann, Riga.)

Tiny white head. Clear black colour. Roasty caramel aroma. Very sweet taste and a sweet, roasty caramel palate. Good for a non alcoholic Porter.

Bottle. Sweet raisin and paper aroma. Clear very dark brown colour, almost no head. The flavour has a lot of raisin, is very sugary and has a citric note to balance. Perhaps a roasted hint somewhere, but that does not really make it taste a lot like porter.
