2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 larsga (5364) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 3, 2013
Thin brown head. Slightly hazy deep dark red body. Earthy raisiny rye bread aroma with faint tomato ketchup notes. Sweet rye bread, honey and raisins taste with spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, flat mouthfeel. Dryish roasty earthy raisiny aftertaste with spicy syrupy notes. Not bad, but too sweet and one-dimensional. (0.5l PET bottle, from Stockmann, Riga.)

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 MiP (12478) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - DEC 4, 2012
Bottle. Sweet raisin and paper aroma. Clear very dark brown colour, almost no head. The flavour has a lot of raisin, is very sugary and has a citric note to balance. Perhaps a roasted hint somewhere, but that does not really make it taste a lot like porter.
2.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 tderoeck (3057) - Gent, BELGIUM - NOV 22, 2012
8/XI/12 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 18/I/13 (2012-1254) Thanks to Koen M. for the bottle!
Clear dark brown beer, small aery beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very aged, like an old Westy (probably cause that’s a beer I regularly taste at 4 y.o.), yeast, some bread, rum raisins, orange peel, caramel, brown sugar, dried figs. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very sweet and sugary start, caramel, orange peel, some citrus, brown sugar, very sweet. Aftertaste: candied oranges, Madeira, very sugary and sweet. If it would have been less sweet, it would be nice, great even. But it’s not.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 thirstyrabbit (740) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 25, 2011
1,5L bottle. Very dark brown body, minimal tan head. Taste is caramelly sweet and has a strange toasty finish. However, its thin body can not support the toastiness too well. Slightly darker than your average Baltic macro kvass.
