0.33l bottle from trade with ElDesmadre. It pours a dark red-brown body with a small quickly fading off-white head. On the aroma this one is kinda bready and malt sweet with a good dash of both candy and caramel. Quite sweet in other words. It tastes also quite sweet. Really caramelized flavors! My lord! It has a burned bready - almost like a malty liquid rye bread! I also get a strange acidity - almost artificial acidity in the finish. A strange one, and definitely a bit to ehhm.. sweet for my tounge? Tried to take it on for what it is, but sorry, there is no way I can drink this. 06.04.2012
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 18, 2011
Self-service keg in Lido at Riga Airport. Pours a dark ruby red colour with a fair yellowish head. I think I managed the two step pour pretty well. Aroma is a little sweet with Latvian black bread, bready yeast and sugar characters. Similar flavours. Nicely sweet which balances out the bready flavours. Some light caramel notes also. Mild carbonation and CO2 prickle with a sweet, bready finish. Not bad. I prefer this to Coke anyway.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ElDesmadre (937) - Mikołów, POLAND - JUL 19, 2011
Bottle. Reddish brown with a small and short head. Sweet aroma of bread, candy sugar and yeast. Sweet taste balanced by the sourness of three different acids added to the brew. Not bad, much better and healthier than conventional soft drinks.
