This traditional dark mild won the bronze medal at the SIBA Northern region beer competition 2010 as well as being voted the winner in its class at Bradford beer festival 2010. The blend of 5 malts used in the mash give a smooth, mellow easy to drink malt flavour with a hint of liquorices in the finish.

A great bottled mild , light smoke on the malt in the aroma, with a fruity flavour. When milds are this good, I wish there were more of them brewed. Great session beer.

Alles ok hier.

Bottle from a trade with BenH, many thanks. The beer has got a dark colour with a steady big head and medium body. Aroma of malt and chocolate. Taste of mild roasted malt, chocolate, mild coffee, mild hops and light torf. Hints of dark fruits and fresh nuts. Good one, enjoyed it.

Bottle - ruby red with a thick frothy light brown head. Aroma of lightly roasted coffee, chocolate and a little smoke. Taste is chocolatey with roasted malts, treacle and hints of dark fruit. Mild bitterness to finish. A little bit watery. Medium body, high carbonation.

Malt roast aroma goes so well with the dark, slightly red colour. Taste is again roasted, porter like almost but less of that earthy aftertaste, almost like a "Porter Lite", which for me is no bad thing.

Fruity, malt loaf aroma. Dark brown colour. Light brown head, disappears fast. Medium bitter, lighty sweet. Full body.

Very dark brown with a red hue. Has a fairly strong dark malt aroma. The dark roasted malt flavour is nice but the light and watery texture is disappointing.

Bottle from hop hideout, sheffield. Dark brown with beige head. Nice fruity malts and some woody dry flavours. It’s dry and bitter, quite drinkable though. Slight Prickly carbonation and considering its strength it’s body is not too thin. Impressive brewing.

Gravity Cask at Twickenham Beer Festival. Dark brown, small off-white head. Body is light, smooth. Taste is watery, soft malt character, very light toffee chocolate vibe. OK, but a bit plain.
