This traditional dark mild won the bronze medal at the SIBA Northern region beer competition 2010 as well as being voted the winner in its class at Bradford beer festival 2010. The blend of 5 malts used in the mash give a smooth, mellow easy to drink malt flavour with a hint of liquorices in the finish.

Bottle from hop hideout, sheffield. Dark brown with beige head. Nice fruity malts and some woody dry flavours. Itís dry and bitter, quite drinkable though. Slight Prickly carbonation and considering its strength itís body is not too thin. Impressive brewing.

Gravity Cask at Twickenham Beer Festival. Dark brown, small off-white head. Body is light, smooth. Taste is watery, soft malt character, very light toffee chocolate vibe. OK, but a bit plain.

Deep nutty brown/ruby color with a fine beige head. Lovely lacing. Smooth mild dark malt and toffee aroma. Medium body and a fine balance between bitterness and sweetness. Smooth and mellow dark malt, toffee and mild bready flavor. A really fresh, tasty and nice mild ale. This brewery really deliver.

Z pompy, The Royal Oak, Ripon. Kolor ciemnorubinowy, przejrzyste i klarowne. Piana niska, kremowa, opada do cienkiej obraczki i minimalnie oblepia szklo. W aromacie czekolada, karmel, orzechy, kawa, owocowy i lodygowy chmiel, po mocniejszym ogrzaniu wychodza takze lekkie wedzone nuty - drewno i stara szafa, bardzo przypominajace grodziskie. Aromat przyjemny, ale malo intensywny. W smaku intensywnie karmelowe i orzechowe, lekka czekolada i palonosc, lekka rzeska kwasnosc. W odczuciu gladkie, ale dosc mocno wodniste, zakonczone wodnistym finiszem. Goryczka niska, ale wyczuwalna, lekko sciagajaca i zalegajaca, aromat lodygowy, owocowy i mietowy. Wysycenie bardzo niskie, ledwie wyczuwalne.

0.5l bottle. This one has a clear deep dark ruby brown colored body and a small islandy quite bubbly beige head. It has a mild roasted nose, a tad caramel sweet with traces of coffee and dark sweet berries. Not bad. Itís definitely roasted in the taste also and that dark caramel sticks. Almost burned sugar. It has a really thin and near watery mouthfeel and itís just below average on the carbonation. Soft traces of both old coffee and chocolate wrapper. Quite mild and easy. A faint acidity in the finish and aftertaste. Mildly mild but still tasty. Donít see myself purchasing again, but this bottle did itís job just fine. 20.04.2014

Cask. Dark brown towards black with a small good lacing tan head. Toasted malt, cocoa, brown sugar, flowery. Medium body, oily/creamy texture, soft carbonation, light/medium sweet with gentle bitterness. Well made malt forward brew, don't come across beer like this often here in 2014. Soft and bigger taste than the abv suggests.
