500ml bottle - a very nice looking drink, deep red/black, white head that is lasting quite a bit. Nose of coffee and roasted malts, and a bitter hit of burnt chocolate and toast on the taste. No cranberry here, but a sweetness on the way out. Okay, but nothing special.

15th October 2012 Craft. Clear dark red beer, little pale tan head. Palate is smooth and slightly dry. Very mild roast in the otherwise mellow dark malt. Trace of smoke and lactose. Nice fruit - a little tart, not sure I would have identified Cranberry without already being in the know. Finishes dry with the mild roast and smoke carrying over in to the aftertaste and joined by subtle banana ester. Hangs together well.
