Bottled, 500ml from Morrison’s at Staveley, Derby’s. Amber with white head. Bright, fresh notes from the start with this, there is a crisp, biscuity, malty body followed by, herby, bittering hops with a zesty character. A little heavy on the CO2 but really rather pleasant.

A fine amber color with a off white head. Ok lacing. Good looking. Bready, citric hoppy and a bit fruity. Medium body and a fine balance between sweetness and fresh rich bitterness. Average carbonation. Bready, citric and pleasant fruity flavor. One of the best 3,5 beers I have had. Lovely fresh and tasty stuff.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber with a large cream-white head with great retention. Aroma is standard brown bitter: grass, malt, toffee, red fruit. Raisins. Elderflower. Vomit, nuts. Parma violets, stewed hops, Rich tea biscuits. Bittersweet and bitter towards the finish. Some sour notes. Dry finish. Boring and bland. Could do with some black malt in it.

Cask @ The Rake (Greater London). Clear dark amber with a medium beige head and heavy lacing. Aroma is of mineral notes, light caramel and herbal presence. Taste is moderately bitter, but the bitterness is very sticky. Mineral/earthy with herbal presence and light caramel. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel. Bitterness is too sticky, so the beer isn’t easily drinkable or really refreshing, but it’s not completely bad either.
