Bottled. 250cl sample. The aroma has toffee, bread, some grass. Clear, copper coloured with a bit rocky, off-white head. The taste is light bitter, more sweet, has toffee/caramel, grass. Easy drinking beer with quite some body for the low ABV. Nice.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol March 2015. Deep copper in colour, with an off-white head. Cereal malts, a touch of caramel and berry fruit sweetness, leading to a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask@gallows. Amber. Bready caramels, piney herbs on nose. Med bodied, quite well bittered, piney caramel slight nutty flavour. I like the bitter sting, the malty body, could drink a lot of it.

Cask handpull, Three Jolly Butchers, Brighton, 02/01/15. Pale red loosely crowned with white, Nose cinnamon hints, soft jellied hop cone suggesting red berry and orange. Simplistic, slightly dank, hairs-on-chest BSBB with a generous clout of bitterness and chaff. Hints of chargrilled pepper, paprika maybe. Warmed to it. Good if basic.

Draught cask and in good nick. Aroma of molasses, rich biscuit. Light brown, with thin white lacy head. Smooth, balanced, bitterness pitched perfectly for supping. Silky mouthfeel. Malty. Slight woody smokiness. Superb with mature cheddar cheese.

Amber and quite fizzy, strong lemon citrus note from the american hops - dry bitter finish which holds on the palate for a while which for me generally means one is enough.
