Hmm, interesting one this. Halfway between a trad IPA and a modern IPA in a lot of ways - citrus and tropical fruits on the nose and in the tasting, but the whole also carrying a kind of ’fuggles and goldings’ bitterness rather than anything new world. This belies the actual content of the beer and instead points at something a little bit gulf-bridging. Lotus IPA ... perhaps it’s a karma thing. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Thank you Megan!
The beer is golden with a small white head. The aroma brings tangy citrus, pine, bready malts. really nicely done. The flavor is elegantly balanced. Light in body with a crisp and clean aftertaste. Grapefruit and orange followed by biscuits and pine. Moderate carbonation. Highly drinkable. A very good example of an English IPA.

Bottle shared by Huhzubendah: pours a clear deep golden with a spotty lacing white head. Has a lightly sweet pale malty nose with some herbal hoppy notes and a touch of citrus. Starts with pretty good fullness and light malty sweetness with a clean hoppy bitterness and light pine resin before a drier bittersweet finish. Smooth and drinkable.

Cask conditioned handpump North Bar Leeds 15/04/13. A golden beer with a tight white head and lace. Good hops but a diughy sweet maltiness which becomes cloying for me. Lots of bitter oranges. A good body and the hops are OK but the doughiness doesn’t sit right.
