Very pale, watery-looking body with just a hint of gold. The head is quite small, white and short-lived. Moderate aroma that is quite crisp with citric notes, generic fruitiness and pale malts. Light to moderate sweet taste with a quite short moderate to light bitter finish. Moderate flavours of citrus, fruits, grassy hops and pale malts. A bit thin and watery body, but it feels crisp and refreshing. Like a citric pale lager.
[50 cl bottle, enjoyed 6 months before BB date, from Meny Alna, Oslo]

Bottle. Straw with a thin white top. Nose of grapefruit and tangerine. Very hoppy in the mouth, but surprisingly light with it. The hops explode early doors, but subside with the bubbles. Nice quaffer.

Foffern (1300) - Bodø, NORWAY - JUN 21, 2013
Bottle at home. Pours a clear straw-colour with a small off-white head that fades fast. A pilsener-like roma of straw, pale malt, and some sitrus and fruity hops in the back. The flavour is neither far from pilsener as well with a strange distinct bitterness in the end. Has a slick and a little watery mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. Feels a bit unbalanced and like a light pilsener.

ClubGonzo (4236) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 10, 2013
Bottle from Matkroken Natland, Bergen. Pours a clear golden body with a small white head. Nose is mild orange and lemon zesty citric tones, hints of clementines, straw and lime. Fresh and nice. Taste is fresh citric tones with lemon, orange and lime as the most prominent, along with pale malts and hints of sawdust. Light body, medium carbonation. Easy drinking, low alcohol and tasty citrus...yes, this goes well as a summer beer indeed. As far as golden ales go, this is rather good.

Absolutely flavour packed for a blonde of this abv - a perfect daytime beer. Crisp, full of marmalade and pine hop flavours, and light enough to sup all afternoon without wanting forty winks. Good stuff.
