Cask (Black Door, Helsinki)
Such an english aroma. Pale, but a lovely tight persistent head. Body has lovely soft grains, a bit bready. Lots of spicy retronasals. Fresh and crisp palate. Not big or clever, just a really tasty English bitter. Dry nut papers. Peppery. So good, so English. simple but just what you want.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask conditioned handpump Althorp Coaching Inn Great Brington. A blonde beer with a white head and lacing. A really nice citrus aroma with mostly orange smells. Decent hops in the mouth. A bit drier and spicier than the nose. A pleasant summer ale. Although I enjoyed the hoppiness of this beer I didn’t spot the NS and feel they’re not used to their proper potential.
