COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Keg and cask.
The first brew from our new Brewster Christa Sandquist this is our interpretation of the classic Roggenbier. A russet/red ale, the Rye malt gives equal dryness and sweetness. Evocative of a Wild West bar, there are hints of fresh orange and ginger. Tether your horse, swagger to the bar and get your barkeep to rustle you up a Rye N’ Dry!

(Cask at Craft Beer Clerkenwell, London, 8 Apr 2014) Reddish amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Malty nose with crisp-bread, orange peel and rye. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of rye, crisp-bread, orange peel, grapefruit and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty rye ale with a fresh hop character. Nice one.

On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - amber with a decent head. Nose - spicy biscuits and a hint of raisins. Taste - apples and sultanas with a spicy rye finish. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet biscuity texture and a long dry finish. Overall - yeah a generous beer. I like it.
