Rhubarb Saison
Brewed with renowned writer, Melissa Cole, author of bestseller "Let Me Tell You About Beer". We have used world famous Yorkshire rhubarb to add a hint of sourness. There is earthy spice from the Saison yeast, and fresh vanilla to bring out the sweet notes from a blend of Noble Central European hops. A rich golden colour, this naturally hazy Saison is truly a world beer, refreshing on the palate, with a long, satisfying bittersweet finish. Due to popular demand, Siberia will now join our permanent list in bottle and keg. Siberia is now exported and available in the US

500ml bottle. Clear, golden colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Spicy, yeasty aroma, a touch of mustard and brine, rhubarb with good will, grainy background. Taste is moderately sweet malty, minimally grainy, bready, biscuity, minimally fruity, maybe rhubarb, cautious herbal-spicy yeasty overtones, some hop bitterness. Nice but a bit lame.

Bottle from a wine store in Grassington. Pours golden with just a hint of pinkness and a thin white head. A very subtle hint of rhubard among farmy yeast notes, moderate spice, hay and hints of marzipan and vanilla. Light and refreshing. Decent.

Meh. On tap at Rhubarb. Nothing special. Pours a light golden. Lots of bubbles, not much flavour. Light drinking saison with rhubarb barely there. Somewhat citrusy and yeasty. Belgian notes and light spice. Not bad, just boring. Not a huge help with my quest to be open minded different styles of beer.

Cask gravity at the Watford Beer Festival 2012. Poured a cloudy ochre, with a scummy white head. Aroma of tart fruit, lemon zest and Belgian yeast. Citrus flavour, with some grass and chalk. Finish was bread, esters and raisins.

Little sign of the saison yeast on the nose, hints of the rhubarb, but also quite a sweet finish.

Nice aroma of rhubarb and bubblegum although a touch sickly. Pale amber in colour. Bubblegum and rose flavours to start with then alcohol and Belgium yeast.
