Rhubarb Saison
Brewed with renowned writer, Melissa Cole, author of bestseller "Let Me Tell You About Beer". We have used world famous Yorkshire rhubarb to add a hint of sourness. There is earthy spice from the Saison yeast, and fresh vanilla to bring out the sweet notes from a blend of Noble Central European hops. A rich golden colour, this naturally hazy Saison is truly a world beer, refreshing on the palate, with a long, satisfying bittersweet finish. Due to popular demand, Siberia will now join our permanent list in bottle and keg. Siberia is now exported and available in the US

A pale golden beer which remains quite cloudy after itís been poured and holds a thin head. A mild, sweet smell which I assume was of rhubarb while the flavour is fairly mild but quite distinctive all the same. For both taste and strength itís one Iíd have a few of over an afternoon rather than get stuck into for an evening. Very nice though.

Pours into the glass a hazy straw-golden into the glass with a copious ice cream head, lots of cascading carbonation, and leaves thick lacing. The nose has some sourness and barnyard accents. Definite rhubarb sourness upfront, followed by some hay and wet grains, finishing sour and light grainy bitters. The mouthfeel is soft, despite the carbonation visibly at work. The body is thin and weak, lacking substantial complexity. This doesnít have the traditional top-tier characteristics of a quality saison; however, the rhubarb is nicely portrayed in the flavor profile. Probably best served as a decent lawnmower brew if one is looking for a fruity, semi-sour, simple quencher for the hot sun.

On tap @ Slaughtered Lamb, London - UK. Color: golden blond beer with small carbonation and small white foam. Smell: fruity and saison domination. Small sweet sour finish. Taste: saison taste but not so dominant. Good attenuation with astringent and fruity rhubarb finish. Good association and easy drinkable. Aftertaste: smalll sour bitterness and fruity finish. Very nice beer.

Interesting beer the herb and spice you would expect from a saison balanced with the sweetness of rhubarb intetesting combination

Tasted from the tap on the 14/06/2015. Golden colour with a decent white head. Aroma of yeast, vainilla and malts. Taste is citrus and sweet with good balance. Refreshing and interesting beer. Next one please!

Bottled. 25cl sample. The aroma has indeed rhubarb, hint of spice, bit earthy/dustynotes, light citrus. Golden/yellow coloured beer with a medium, white head. The taste is light bitter, light citric sourish, has some rhubarb, bit wine, bit spice. Nice one.

Butelka, warka do maja 2015, a wiec pita w ostatniej chwili waznosci ;) Niska, niebrzydka piana, szybko znikajaca, troche brudzaca szklo, piwo przejrzyste, jasne, zoltawo-zlote. Aromat w pierwszej chwili (z butelki) intensywny saisonowych drozdzy, pozniej delikatniejszy - troche łąkowy, troche przyprawowy (pieprzowe), troche owocowy (kapka cytryny, kapka winogron, costam jeszcze - moze to ten rabarbar?) - ladnie ulozony, lekki.

Takie sobie jasne malo metne piwo z minimalna pianka, nieciekawa etykieta. Zapach chmielny cytrusowy i lakowy zarazem. W smaku lekkie goryczkowe, cytrusowe. Takie pijalne, niemal sesyjne piwo.

Golden and bubbly. Light sour but not funky, simple malts, neither spicy nor characterful to be honest. Especially the taste is straightforward and dull. The lack of hops should have been solved by a fruitiness or tartness, but I can find those here. (Bottle from Wine Rack Leeds)

Keg at Craft Beer Rising. A clear golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of saison yeast, definate rhubarb, tart apple and slight earthy hops. Taste of saison yeast, sour rhubarb, vanilla, tart apple and some custard notes. Light bodied, soft carbonation and an oily texture. Quite a tart, fruity finish. Nice flavours but not my thing.
