3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle - I quite like this one. Black with a healthy beige foam that laces all the way through. The aroma has roasted malts and blackberries and a bit of coffee lurking there. A strong rich malty taste with chocolate and burnt toast and more rich fruits. A good body and a long finish. Slick and tasty. A very decent brew.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Full bodied stout that makes it a great session ale, but not high or aroma or taste. Still worthy though.

Cask at the Craft. Clear but very dark red beer. Tidy little tan head. Light smooth palate. A touch of unsweet dark chocolate. Mild red berry fruits. Trace of coffee, smooth dry finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from myBrewerytap.com. Pours deep ruby with a huge frothy and creamy off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and liquorice. Taste is moderate roasted malts, good body for the low abv, lingering coffe and liquorice, a good one this.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A better than average English stout. Not overwhelming in any respect but balanced with a reserved chocolatey taste. A bit watery for my taste.

[bottle at EBBC12] Black as a moorland night, decent cream-coloured head. Aroma of milk chocolate – and the taste is there too. Smooth and creamy, some coffee bitterness from the burnt malt edge. Really enjoyed it – there’s no secret to this beer, just a well-made, easy-drinking Yorkshire stout

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deep brown with a slight off white head. Light roasty nose. The taste is quite creamy. Loads of velvety creamed coffee flavor. Some light berries. Very dry finish. Light and easy to drink. Lacks a certain depth of flavor, but gets the job done. OK.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Bottled), I don’t really like low boozed stouts , they tend to lack the complexity i need from stronger stout equivalents , this though had a very good palate and overall texture . Rich ,smooth and I can’t put the glass down . Some milk chocolate , coffee roast , berries covered in powder...
If this was more robust it would be stunning....
