On cask at York Tap. Pours amber with a stiff head. Zingy and a heavy boozy finish. A bit too heavy going for my taste.

500ml bottle - a cloudy amber , ice-cream white head. Lots of citrus hops on this one, nose of grapefruit and kumquats and all those tropical notes you usually get from an APA. The expected bitterness is there, a harshness takes away the pleasantness of the finish, an acidic tartness is still there a few minutes after. Not my favourite by a long way in this style, but I’ll still quaff it...

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell on 13th October 2012. Hazy amber with thin white spot-lacing foam. Hoppy and fruity aroma. Richly fruity in-mouth, with some grapefruit, berries and plenty of bitterness. Big fruit fest late on with tangy citrus and Christmas berries . Aftertaste is lemon and orange zest, and herby. Zingy mouthfeel and a body slightly on the light side for given strength.

Cask @ CPK. The pour’s a deep gold with a creamy white head. The nose is of grapefruit, some angel food cake and honey nut crunch. Light lemon. The taste is syrupy orchard fruits, light tangy citrus. Plenty of honeyed white bread. Mild bitterness. Medium body, smooth. Nice stuff from Ilkley. Not a hop bomb, but flavorful.

Cask at Craft Brixton. Clear copper orange brown, white bubble head. Nose burnt caramel, sticky marmalade, citrous grape fruit. Taste is citrous bitter, pine, orange marmalade. It’s ok but not a great deal of life in it.

Cask at the Craft. Light haze on this amber beer, little white head. Light palate, semi dry. Smooth orange marmalade hops, trace of lemon. Not hugely hoppy but impressively smooth. A little floralness and a touch of bitter bubblegum ester. Dry finish.

Cask, handpump, Craft, Clerkenwell, Saturday 15th September 2012 Pours dark gold, thick in the mouth, littls syrupy, big in the mouth but pales in comparison to the Fyne Ales Sanda. Sweet, big hoppiness, good but not great. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Handpull at The Dean Swift. Clear bright orange-copper, minimal White head. Smells and tastes sweetly grainy-floral, mild alc. Average body and carb, quuck finishing - not sweet, definitely decent.

On cask at the Cask Pimlico (03/08/12) pouring a clear amber gold with a small frothy white head which retained fairly well. Fruity sweet smelling nose. Flavour also very sweet, a little too so for my liking. Getting various citrus fruits, sweet toffee apple and sugars. The alcohol is fairly well disguised. Fullish bodied and not a beer to rush, ok overall but not really what I’d expected as was hoping for a hop fest !

Keg at The Old Red Cow, London. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white cap. Nose of wheat, biscuits and tropical fruits. Big sweet flavor with loads of wheat, white sugar, some pee, light pine, citrus, orange. It’s strong but the alcohol doesn’t poke through too much. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish with lots more wheat, moderate grassy hops, orange, straw, slight lemon, very faint toasted sugar and hay. Interesting. It’s like a wheat/saison DIPA or something.
