MrRoss (614), Delta, British Columbia, Canada Jul 15, 2009 Had a couple of these the other night over at the neighbours. I’m not sure how receptive my mouth was to evaluating this beer, as I’d started the evening with 6 Stellas, 3 Drambuie Black Ribbons, and a ten-year old tawny port. My Brahmas were ’examined’ directly from bottle to mouth. The colour was an average gold, and I don’t think there would’ve been much head if poured into a glass. Aroma was not unpleasant, a bit of hop. Taste, mouthfeel, and aftertaste were better than a cheaper swill pale lager, but I wouldn’t feel left out if I didn’t have another one of these. I was most reminded of the ’other’ Brazilian, Amarca Bavaria. I only ever seem to have this stuff when served it by my neighbour, after I’ve come in from consuming a wide variety of drinks elsewhere. If he wants to pay a premium $ for something that isn’t as good as say, Old Style, so be it. HenrikSoegaard (4263), Randers, Denmark Jul 10, 2009 Bottle bought in Milan. Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and hoppy slightly bready aroma. Light bitter bready flavor. Short finish. Watery palate. Not very good. vikingguy (138), Chaska, Minnesota, USA Jun 26, 2009 Pours gold, foamy white head. Aroma of skunk, citrus, slight hops. Taste is kind of odd. Kind of chalky, sweet malt, corn, low hops. Tastes kind of like how you’d expect a light beer to taste after you just ate a couple fruit flavored tums. Not good...needs more of a hops bite to even it out. Just weird. Nightfall (645), Athens, Greece Jun 26, 2009 Got this from a friend from Cyprus, that it was brasilian but as it appears it’s not. A very average lager (it had almost reached it’s BB date though) hogan873 (317), Joliet, Illinois, USA Jun 16, 2009 Pale gold body with a very thin white head. Unimpressive aroma of corn and grain. Watery palate with decent carbonation. Flavor, like the aroma, is not exciting. Sweet corn and grain. Smooth finish. A thirst quencher on a hot day after cutting the grass. That’s about it. Vertical Bacon Strips (874), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 14, 2009 Light yellow gold brew with little head, no retention and some lasting carbonation. Aroma is of grains, corn and a bit of metal - also on the sweet side. Taste is pretty good and satifying when nice and cold, but once it warms it really loses its value. Seems a bit watered down. Corn and not much else. Decent swish and has a little bitterness. Ends on the soft side. Once again, drink and enjoy cold or you’ll realize that this is just another subpar import brew. LordCorkscrew (939), Ronco Scrivia (GE), Italy Jun 11, 2009 Uhhhfff vabbeh dai sa di niente, niente, però perlomeno non è fastidiosa né fa eccessivamente schifo.. andreic (53), Ireland Jun 7, 2009 Bottle. Pale. Aroma a bit off... tinny. Tastes a little sweet, but mostly watery and horrible. A crappy beer.
