Weak, slightly soapy, almost no evidence of hops present. Incredibly bland pale lager.

Bottle, courtesy ClarkVV! Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is clear medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (cereal, grain), lightly hoppy (herbs), with a strong note of DMS, light note of plastic. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, slightly unclean/husky. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation. Some hops are slightly apparently, but lotsa cooked corn and some chemical smell. Not enjoyable. This bottle was labeled as brewed in Brazil...however, it’s labeled as "export only", so it’s probably equivalent to this "world" version. Whether this really differs from Chopp is beyond me (the company website in Brazil shows this same bottle design).

I want something really special for #1500, and I soon as I saw this I knew my search was over. A Brazillian beer from The Netherlands for the Canadian Market in a store in Florida for a Tennessee guy? Wow, sign me up. Tjis beer looks, smells and tastes like beer. You can’t no more middle of the road-er than this. Wildly inoffensive.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2005 Well… now I know that the reason this beer is named Brahma... because it apparently has a striking similarity to the sweet dripping off the bulls balls! Terrible Beer!
The snazzy shaped bottle made of clear embossed glass is about the only redeeming quality that this beer holds. It was so skunked and pathetic a beer that it has a striking resemblance to Corona Extra. I added a lime to the beer to help diminish the skunkness. I drank a few of these because they were only $1.50 a bottle at the restaurant I ate lunch at today. Total Crap!

The only interesting thing about this beer was the curved bottle with raised lettering. Everything else was straight corn-inspired macro-lager. Better drink it just above 0 because it gets nasty as it warms.
