COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Regionally grown American pale malt is blended with rich European malts to produce a lighter bodied beer, bright in color, with a taught white head that keeps track of time as you sip. Then there are the hops – four pounds per barrel to be exact. Willamettes, Cascades, CTZ and Summits give this brew a citrus punch and spicy character that greets you in the nose and embraces your mouth with a clean, crisp bitterness.

Draft at the brewery. This is a solid American PA, and I’d buy this by the case if I was in the MSP area. Piney, but also with an acidic citric tartness, an almost puckering factor. Fill the fridge. (#5666, 8/28/2014)

12 ounce can. Pours a bight golden orange with a nice white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, and malt. Taste is grapefruit, tropical, malt, and pine. Nice hoppy APA.

Can from Four Firkins. Pours a clear orange with a white head leaving lots of wedding dress lacing. Aroma has heavy pine and citrus, with some biscuity malts. Taste follows - quite bitter some sweetness from the malts, but that is way back. Spicy tangy but essentially bitter. 14.3

Can:   Lots of pithy powdery sugar sweetness in this one.   Reminds me of a Danish Pale or IPA.   Pretty bitter for a Pale Ale.   A slight touch of cat urine... guessing the hops?   Fairly full bodied.   A faint touch of earthiness on the backside.   Citrus peel bith and bitterness linger fairly long.   Another decent example.

Tasting sessions with my generous friend Frank.

Aroma is huge, intense, hoppy. Smells like a top shelf DIPA. Taste is bitter and a little acidic. A tad watery, missing something. Still a solid beer, but my nose deceived me.

Draft. Pours clear dark golden. Nose is nice tropical. Taste is sweet malt and pineapple. Nice bitter aftertaste.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2014 Nice aroma, not overpowering, very nice overall. Just the right amount of hop bitterness. Well balanced. I enjoyed this one a lot. Somewhat hard to find, though. Would buy it again.

A pretty solid, if unremarkable pale ale. Solid hop profile, even better malt backbone. Could enjoy multiples for sure.

Got this in a trade. Apricot beige appearance, light tropical nose, white head, smooth, holds up well, good mouthfeel, low bitterness.
