Regionally grown American pale malt is blended with rich European malts to produce a lighter bodied beer, bright in color, with a taught white head that keeps track of time as you sip. Then there are the hops Ė four pounds per barrel to be exact. Willamettes, Cascades, CTZ and Summits give this brew a citrus punch and spicy character that greets you in the nose and embraces your mouth with a clean, crisp bitterness.

A dark orange copper color with a finger of white bubbly head that settles around the rim. Strong citrus aromas, especially orange, pine, a little floral, a sweet malt in the back. Taste is a solid bitter, almost a cheese like quality in it, nice caramel malt finish to cut down the bitter, but the bitter does come back and sit on the tongue. Also a hoppy biscuit on the tongue as well. Solid pale ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2014 can. Slightly hazy light golden color with a white head. Aroma is light malt with a nice zesty citrus smell and a little caramel. Taste is dominated by a crisp bitterness that settles into an earthy, grassy flavor on the tongue. The malt, citrus and caramel are present but underneath the nice bitterness. Has a nice medium mouthfeel.

This beer is solid as hell. Aroma is bright, with resinous pine and a dank citrus. Also some sweetness there as well. The taste is the same, nice moderate pine and bitterness, dank, resinous, some citrus notes, bitter grapefruit and a tinge of something on the end that resembles cannabis. Not too thin, not too big, just right. A little big on the flavor for pale ale, but at 5.4%ABV, Iíll crush these all day long.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of grassy hops, tropical fruits, citrus. Flavor of grapefruit, citrus, tropical fruits, light fruits, grassy hops, garlicky hops, and hop oils in the finish. Citrusy/fruity and very hoppy! Itís really an IPA... 8/4/8/4/14 (3.8/5)

Nice aroma of citrus/grapefruit....fresh. Deep gold with hints of orang and a thin wite head. Rich sweat malt up front. Citrus overtones throughout. Bitterness comes in nicely. Pine and floral grassy notes are hidden in bitterness, which holds on for a while. Sliky mouth feel Solid brew.

Poured from a can - there is a date on the bottom of the can, but I canít tell what it is. Appearance - very nice golden color/ Taste - a pale ale that tastes like an IPA - canít be a bad thing. Palate - very nice - nice bite...top notch beer. Overall - Indeed brewery does 1st class beers. I think they are right there with Surly in the Minneapolis area.
