Regionally grown American pale malt is blended with rich European malts to produce a lighter bodied beer, bright in color, with a taught white head that keeps track of time as you sip. Then there are the hops four pounds per barrel to be exact. Willamettes, Cascades, CTZ and Summits give this brew a citrus punch and spicy character that greets you in the nose and embraces your mouth with a clean, crisp bitterness.

Poured a clear amber color with aromas of light citrus, some fruit, a touch of pine and some some bitterness. Flavors followed suit a decent pale ale that has nothing out of the ordinary just good.

Can 355 ml thanks to Sgt. B (Brian), not on ratebeer. Sampled on January 25, 2014.
Clear copper color, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy, citrus scent. Bitter, hoppy taste. Smooth mouthfeel, high bitterness.

Very strong floral and pine hops, very bitter throughout and a little dank. Not enough malts for balance.

Can share thanks to Homer321. Clear light golden. Danky floral hop aroma. More floral, danky, piney hope character and light malt backbone. Decent pale.

Intense pine and caramel nose, subtle rosehip note. Cloudy amber, thick head, good lacing. Lemon and pine flavor, whole orange at midpalate, finishes with grapefruit peel and lemongrass. Light body, slightly tangy, considerably bitter. Superb balance and intensity, full of nuance. I could totally rate this higher, but I feel like Im getting carried away. I wish I could get this more often.

Can, thanks Chase! Canned 11.25.13. Nice aroma of grapefruit and hint of pine. Medium body with fresh burst of pine up front, resiny coating mouthfeel. Finish with a nice twinge of bitterness that strengthens into the aftertaste. Very nice, solid APA.

Can while camping. Pours a light yellow with big white head. Aroma of danky weed (nice in a pale ale), citrus and some grass. Taste is more fresh cut grass, slight pine, grapefruit zest and some cantaloupe. I love this stuff. The only thing that makes it better is jalapenos.

Really like the big hop flavors that dances the line with too bitter but just enough malt backbone keeps it drinkable. Have had many times in cans/draft/cask at taproom.

Nice golden hue with a thin head that dissipates. Aroma is nice with citrus but muted. Taste is great with a crisp light hop taste up front. Finish is a little bland and flat with a bitter hop finish. Palate is a little malty with faint hops. Crisp refreshing beer.

Majority pour from 12 oz. can. Floral, dry, vegetal aroma features orange, rose, and pine scents. The smell was stronger when I bought the six-pack a few weeks ago. Pours a clear, orange-gold with moderate to heavy effervescence. Moderate amount of reasonably long-lasting, cream/eggshell-colored head. Dry start to the taste with creamy/buttery finish (in a good way, not a bad way). Tonic water (quinine), lemon, and grapefruit flavors. Dry aftertaste. Light to medium body. Crispy and soft in the palate. Very easy to drink. Indeed Day Tripper is even better fresher, but it is remarkably good, especially for the often forgettable style, even upon tasting it at at least several weeks old.
