This is perhaps the most interesting beer I’ve ever tried. Very strong aroma of lavender and has the flavor of rosemary. Sip to enjoy in its entirety. At first the herbal nature of the beer was a bit strong but it grew on me and if you’re looking for a beer that is adventurous and unique it is definitely worth a try.

Bomber. Deep amber color with a thin off-white head. Strong lavender, honey, floral and watered down cola. Taste has a light floral quality. Body is lighter with a creamy feel. Seems unique, but smells more like a bath product than a beer.

This is a great beer I'm surprised at the rating. For all the shit they throw in it, it has an amazing taste and flavor.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
22oz bottle shared by Melanie. Pours a medium amber with plenty of white head and lacing. Aroma is lavender-forward, with some muted spicy malts in the background. The aroma works well, staying on the correct side of being too soapy or perfumy. The taste is also lavender, but now it’s getting a little too soapy. I poured maybe 5 oz of this and it took me a while to finish. A sipper for sure. Interesting and different, but nothing I’d buy again.

Tap at the 331. Lavender aroma and flavor, which ordinarily is an aroma I love. But in this beer, it is overwhelming and reminds me of soap. Dry and herbal, lavender finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at brewery. Smells like a bar of soap. Hazy reddish brown with beautiful lacing. The cask version has a thick lasting creamy bubble head. Whereas the cask version has clearly more subdued flavors. I prefer the regular version but I like them both better than the first time I had it. Very good. An acquired taste.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Sample at tasting. Yellow and mirky looking. Undrinkable. Too much spice and lavender in the nose and taste. Yuk. How this won any medal anywhere is beyond me.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Amber pour with a thick off white head.
Strong lavender aroma, almost buries the honey and caramel. Light dark fruits.
Flavor has date, raisin, lavender, licorice, honey and breast malt under that.

I’d love to say this was awesome because hooray Minneapolis breweries doing something weird but, Indeed, lay off the lavender. The flavor was too flowery, the dates came through after to just kind of disappoint and remind me that this isn’t soap, it’s soap’s freaky cousin. The honey was lackluster...this beer was trying to do too many cool things and I think there was a mix up at the Dawn dishsoap and Indeed beer factories... hmmm

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Nice orange pour with a white head. Aroma is straight up lavender. Smells like hand soap. Soapy, perfumy, overly dominated by lavender. Reminds me of a beer filtered through an old lady’s underwear drawer. Flavor was offensively dominated by lavender. Really not good. Drain pour.
