COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A kaleidoscopic combination of Lavender, Sunflower Honey, and Dates set the stage for a mind-bending beer experience as delicate floral aromas dance atop rich notes of fruit, and honey. Conceived by our head brewer, Josh Bischoff, LSD was originally produced by the Minneapolis Town Hall Brewery where it received a medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2011. (7.2 ABV, 20 IBU)

Sample at tasting. Yellow and mirky looking. Undrinkable. Too much spice and lavender in the nose and taste. Yuk. How this won any medal anywhere is beyond me.

Amber pour with a thick off white head. Strong lavender aroma, almost buries the honey and caramel. Light dark fruits. Flavor has date, raisin, lavender, licorice, honey and breast malt under that. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Iíd love to say this was awesome because hooray Minneapolis breweries doing something weird but, Indeed, lay off the lavender. The flavor was too flowery, the dates came through after to just kind of disappoint and remind me that this isnít soap, itís soapís freaky cousin. The honey was lackluster...this beer was trying to do too many cool things and I think there was a mix up at the Dawn dishsoap and Indeed beer factories... hmmm

Nice orange pour with a white head. Aroma is straight up lavender. Smells like hand soap. Soapy, perfumy, overly dominated by lavender. Reminds me of a beer filtered through an old ladyís underwear drawer. Flavor was offensively dominated by lavender. Really not good. Drain pour.

Poured from 750. Pours a loght copper color with big head. Aroma is very floral with a hint of sweetness. Taste is predominately lavender with a honey twist. Unique but not my favorite beer from Indeed. But enjoyable enough on a hot day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I am sure that other have picked at the strengthand weaknesses of this, but to may of thinking this simply hits too hard at the lavender, which gives it the quality of drinking luxury bathroom soap. Not terrible terrible but not something I really ennoyed either. Bottle.

Bottle picked up at Indeed and enjoyed at home. Pours an amber color with white head. Soapy, lavender, floral aromas. Tastes like Iím drinking soapy, potpourri beer. I bought a 750ml bottle, but I canít even drink 12oz.

Bottle courtest of sprybry. Wow, that the hell is this. It taste like soap, smells like soap and actually might be soap. I was looking forward to this but lavender is not the most pleasant of tastes to dominate the beer. Difficult to drink the few ounces I poured.

Bottle in Minneapolis courtesy of sprybry. Thanks Bryan. Pours a hazy dark reddish orange appearance with a tan head. Big lavender, potpourri, soapy, a bit citrusy aroma. Honey, flower, garbage, orange blossom, soapy flavor. Absolute garbage from my favorite brewery in Minnesota.

Bottle thanks to Atom, thanks! Pours a moderate amber with small white lacey head. Aroma is a lavender explosion with minor sweetness. Taste is again lavender forward with a honey comb taste coming in midway through and an overall sweetness from the dates. I donít necessarily taste the dates but the sweetness and fruitiness is there. This is one I could have on a nice spring day, about 6 oz. Nothing more though. Very sweet and perfume forward.
