A kaleidoscopic combination of Lavender, Sunflower Honey, and Dates set the stage for a mind-bending beer experience as delicate floral aromas dance atop rich notes of fruit, and honey. Conceived by our head brewer, Josh Bischoff, LSD was originally produced by the Minneapolis Town Hall Brewery where it received a medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2011. (7.2 ABV, 20 IBU)

Bottle courtest of sprybry. Wow, that the hell is this. It taste like soap, smells like soap and actually might be soap. I was looking forward to this but lavender is not the most pleasant of tastes to dominate the beer. Difficult to drink the few ounces I poured.

Dark gold color with a medium head. Pungeant floral and perfume laden aroma. Some hints of honey sweetness. Thick and chewy fruit flavor. Strong date and pitted fruit. Powerful lavender. Definitely a love it or hate it beer.

Bottle shared with northropfrye. The oak and lavender and honey is all just amazing. Itís full of depth, itís refreshing, surprising and transports me to another place. Its about the best beer I can imagine right now. Loved it!

Very unique beer. Orange body, foamy off white head, nice retention and lacing. Thereís a gum in Canada called "Thills" and thatís what this smells like. Soapy, floral, herbal, a touch of dried fruit. Taste is semi-sweet, also a touch floral and soapy with a faint bitter finish. Very unusual, and while itís not mind-blowing I do think that, overall it was a success.

On draft at the Indeed taproom. Pale amber in colour with moderate carbonation. Lots of lavender and other florals upfront in the nose, followed by a brown spice kick. The spice element is more immediate on the palate, and is followed by a honeyed date element. Interesting and complex, but I get the impression that the flavors havenít married yet. Difficult to rate.

Pour out of 750 mL bottle, clear golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big honey, lemongrass, earth into lots of herbal, minty notes, touch of floral notes as well with a slight biscuity note. Taste was big on the honey, grass, lemon, some hints of earth into flowers, herbal notes, some biscuit, finishing sweet.

Bottle, courtesy of a kind soul... shared in a location remote of my dining room.
Pours a golden orange color with a small head.

The aroma is suntan lotion, some coconut... floral stuff. I mean itís nicer than Iím making it sound, but yíknow it still smells like suntan lotion.

The flavor is bright and the bitterness from the lavender is pretty mild. Itís got some bitter orange peel thing happening, itís spicy and floral, itís real weird but it comes up just shy of tasting like soap, which is more than can be said for most lavender beers, so thatís fine. Itís actually interesting and decently well balanced.

750 ml bottle. Pours a clear orangeish light amber with a short lived white head. Aroma is lavender, fruits, sugar. Flavor is honey, sugar, toasty, dates, dry fruits, grapes. Finish is lavender, caramel. Lingering honey, caramel and lavender. Medium body, soft mouthfeel, average carbonation. Odd, but not bad at all.
