COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with Sorachi Ace hops, Glacier County Honey, and locally malted red wheat Shenanigans Summer Ale has a zesty, citrus-filled aroma, refreshingly dry body, and notes of honey that weave in and out of this thirst quenching summer ale. So brave the humidity and enjoy the long days because summer is time for Shenanigans.

On draught at the Indeed Brewing Company’s taproom in Minneapolis, MN. pours a clear golden straw colored brew with an average sized off-white head that has some nice retention and lacing. Aroma is almost absent. hints of golden grain malt, some light floral hops, white bread, and a touch of yeast. Taste is light bodied, more of the wheat malt present than in aroma with a short lived mild bitterness. Finish is light, a hint of pear, golden grain malt and some mild hops. one of the lightest wheat ales I’ve encountered.

12oz can, courtesy of MatSciGuy. Pours a deep, clear honey color. Thin, off-white head. Honey, tropical citrus (restrained), and some butter in the nose. Medium body; medium-high CO2; lively. A zesty citrus in here, overshadowed by honeyed sweetness and a buttered popcorn note that grows toward the finish. Mildly refreshing, and this may have seen better days/batches.

My friend said it best, "It smells like... funk. It tastes like... funk. But, in a sort I okay, good way." Not for me. The details: quickly dissipating head, cloudy yellow color, citrus notes (in the funk scent), watery mouthfeel, finishes dry but not too hoppy. Not my favorite.

Can: Gold pour with a thick foamy head. aroma is grainy malt, light honey. just a touch of tropical fruit flavour is malted wheat, biscuity and more of that sorachi coconut/tropical fruit coming through than on the aroma. as well as a touch of honey sweetness.

12 oz. can. Pours hazy pale golden orange with a white pillow of fluffy head that settles to a thin wispy foam and show hints of lacing. Aroma is has some yeast wheat and soft hops and a tinge of sweetness. Taste is bitter yeast and biscuit and mild hops. Palate is thin fizzy and drying. Rather let down with this one.

Pours a cloudy golden yellow, with little to no head. Aroma of grass and some citrus. Flavor is a very light combination of fruit esters and grassiness. Not particularly memorable.

On tap at Indeed, cloudy cider like pour, minimal head. Aroma of grass, wheat and floral notes, light fruit. Taste is similar, very light blueberry from infusion. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewery (after getting there too late to try any nitro, cask, or infusions for the night). Good summer seasonal, but just a little too bland for me overall.

This was a nice sessionable adequate beer. Not a whole lot of flavour, but nice enough.
