Light gold with little head. The aroma is hoppy, but not very strong. Not much else to it. Taste is hoppy and then bitter, with a long bitter aftertaste. It’s got a little bit of spice to it, but not much else. The body is a little watery, and leaves a film on your mouth.

Pours a yellowish gold. Hoppy nose. Not overpowering. Pretty standard fare. Slight bitterness. Rated 10/18/09

Mild hops. I had this beer for a while and it was better after aging then when I initially tried it.

Good fruity hop aroma with a standard malt note breaking through. Reddish amber with thin beige head and lacing. Flavor leans towards the malty with off notes of soap/shoe malt. decent hop finish. Moderate to light aluminum quality to finish. Still, the 2nd best thing they had on tap.

"Independence American Pale Ale", on tap at the brewpub and listed as a seasonal, side-by-side with the darker and maltier Independence Ale. Golden body with an oily, off-white head. Aroma of tea-like malt and moderate popcorn butter. Woodsy hop flavor and decent malt balance with medium bitterness. Diacetyl integrates reasonably well, but still detracts a little. A fair APA.
