On tap. Hazy gold pour. Hoppy aroma, not much else. Rather bland except for some bitterness and a metallic aftertaste.
If I was harsh, I’d say it tasted like someone added hops to a budweiser.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 carboloader (617) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 7, 2012
On tap at BD Riley’s in Austin, TX. I had this immediately after a nasty malt bomb porter, so it might have tasted better than it would have otherwise because of the contrast effect. Pours clear bright amber, tastes full of fruity hops, light and crisp, a great session pale ale.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 SPDickerman (717) - Texas, USA - MAR 5, 2012
Pours golden with an enormous, fluffy off-white head. Smells strong of floral and spicy hops with a mild sweet aroma. Taste is sweet at first, like caramel, and the some solid bitterness and back to sweetness. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Independence Brewing Independence Pale Ale finishes with a touch of sweet and a touch of bitter.
