Ok, we admit it. We like to play with hops. Our latest Brewluminati: Citrafication is a study of the Citra hop, which is delightfully exposed in this single malt, single hop (SMASH) IPA. From the sweet citrus aroma that fills the nose to the passion fruit and resinous grapefruit hop flavors that balance a subtle pale malt backbone, Citra hops are the star of the show.

Pours amber. Smells and tastes like mandarin oranges, in a good way. Single hop and single malt make for a clean, uncomplicated profile. Delicious and simple. Simply delicious!

Light amber pour, white head. GABF. Love the orange and grapefruit peel in this one. Bright and citrusy, light grassy flavors. Good stuff.

On draught at the Draught House pub &brewery in Austin, Tx. The color is deep brownish-amber with a copper tint. White head. Aroma is grapefruit with a mild bitterness. Flavor is woody, slightly dry grapefruit. Lacing is droopy and sparse. The palate is pure pleasure... sessionable and satisfying. A rad and easy beer to enjoy. Just a bitchin’ awesome beer. I will cry when this is gone or if I can’t pick up a keg.
