3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Sigmund (4166) - Tau, NORWAY - NOV 20, 2008
500 ml bottle, brew #832. ABV is 4.5%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Nice and creamy tan head. Fine roasted aroma with notes of chocolate, mild coffee and wood. Flavour of roasted malts and coffee, hints of chocolate and dark fruits. Decent bitterness in the finish. A well balanced porter, the best product from Inderøy so far.

Bottle 0.5l, brygg #801. Brought to me by a friend. This is a decent porter, a pleasant surprise from a small brewery. Well balanced, lasting head. I tasted it with a Sumbel from Ægir, I prefer this one.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 abstractbeer (209) - NORWAY - APR 1, 2010
Bottle bought at a local "hypermarket" - batch 949, best before march 2011.
Pours a very dark brew, with a reddish tint. Builds a solid half inch of beige/light brown head. It’s got a "fresh" smell, quite "dark", sweet and chocolate-y. The taste is full of licorice, but yet kinda fruity with hints of berries and a tiny bit of chili in the outer regions! The bitter-sweet-balance tilts towards bitter, yet there is a nice bit of sweetness to this one.

Chocolate, coffee, leather, smoke. Very dark, it is clear they are looking to porters.

500 ml bottle - thanks for the ankle roll clint!! dark brown pour with foamy tan head; aromas of sweet roasted malts with some chocolate; texture is thin and comes off as a very light porter; quite a bit of sweetness in the front with the roast taking a back sweet; yummy

500 ml bottle sampled in 2008. Dark amber body with a fine, big, beige head. Nice and delicate aroma of mild roasted malt, coffee and some smoke. Flavor is sweet, moderate roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and hint of dark fruit. Medium body and decent aftertaste. No strong flavors here, the strength is the balance, a really well made English inspired porter at a low ABV. One of the best Inderøy beers so far.

Bottle@Home. Licorice, moccha and some black currant aroma. Very dark brown color, irregular beige head, fair lace. Burnt start, licorice, light sweet, light bitter, hint of sourness, laurel, dusty. Seems more alcoholic than 4.5%.

Bottle from Fenakroken, Oslo. Pours very dark brown with a lively, but fast diminished yellowish head. Good blackcurrant berry aroma blending with chocolate and moderately roasted coffee. Flavours are more roasted, the berries adds some tartness, overall it is quite dry. Medium to light body. A true-to-style porter.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 KnutAlbert (5186) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 18, 2008
UPDATED: JUN 3, 2008 Bottle.
A fresh, easy-drinking porter. Grain, a hint of smoke, toast and anise. Not as exciting as their other beers, but very decent.
