Bottle. Glowing brown. Properly balanced maltiness, just the right amount of bitter and aromatic hops. Grain, grass and pleasant carbonation. Harmonious, elegant.

500ml bottle bought at Meny Oslo City, shared with Finn back home. Deep dark brown body covered by an off-white head that stays well. Grainy chocolate nose. Taste of chocolate malts, quite nicely balanced by a semi-tart touch that lingers for a while. Smooth in the mouth. Decent brown ale. My rating no. 600 of a Norwegian beer (Tromsø, 13.02.2013).

Medium beige head. Clear deep dark red body with strong carbonation. Earthy caramelly roasted sugar aroma with spicy pea notes. Dry-sweetish earthy roasty caramelly taste with dry cocoa notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish roasted sugar and caramel aftertaste with spicy dusty earthy notes. Really nice and highly distinctive, although very similar to the rakfiskøl. (0.5l bottle, Meny Oslo City.)

Bottle from Meny, Oslo City. Pours dark as Coke with a big creamy off-white head. Aroma of light roasted malts. Taste is moderate sweey , light burnt caramel, lingering sweet caramel, on the sweet side.

0.5 L bottle, picked up @Meny Oslo City. A finger of coarse tan head, upon a clear ruby brown body. Nice and clean, nutty and light caramelly malt aroma. A whiff a perfumey fruits. Soft malt flavor. Clean, light caramelly, with a fruity-acidic touch. Weak bitterness, not really enough for balancing. Slick mouthfeel. Not very filling. Finishes dry malty with a fine fruit tone. Overall, a pretty decent brown.

50cl bottle from Meny, Oslo City. Pours clear dark brown with a reddish hue and a tan head. Malty aroma with some roasty notes and caramel. Medium to light body. Lightly sweet with a slightly bready flavour with hints of dark fruits and spices and a fairly dry and somewhat bitter finish. Slightly sour too.

Sample from bottle. Deep reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Okay beer, mildly roasty character in both aroma and flavour, but nothing to "elevate" it much above average.
