2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 ClubGonzo (1987) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 15, 2011
Bottle from Vaaland Spesialbutikken, Bryne. Slightly hazy yellow body, big white head. So far, I buy into the hefeweizen sale of this beer, but already in the aroma serious doubts arise: only a few vague citric and floral hints surface, and with the taste it’s even worse: citrus, wheat and hints of spices. I can swear I get coriander in there, although nothing of the sort is listed on the bottle. Way more into the "wit" category than a German hefe, and in any case this is not too exciting anyway. Kinda watery palate. This is, all in all, a pretty wishy-washy beer that fails to deliver the "weiss"bier as promised on the bottle. And, as I hate feeling cheated by a beer, my rating will reflect this. Fake ass style bitaz get no props, farm brewery or not. :-P
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 thebeertourist (4060) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 1, 2010
Bottle from Fenakroken. Cloudy golden with a dense white head. Hints of wet cardboard and oranges as well as the expected banana aroma. Acidic notes behind heavily spiced flavours. Probably infected and should not have left the brewery.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 tarjei (1949) - Bryne, NORWAY - JUN 9, 2010
50 cl bottle at home, bought at Vaaland, Bryne. Hazy golden color, fine white head. Aroma is yeast, fruit (hints of banana) and citrus. Flavor is medium plus sweet, fruit and wheat malt, and has only hints of bitterness. Refreshing, but the body is a bit thin.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 gunnar (2644) - Sandnes, NORWAY - JUN 3, 2010
Bottle @ Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours hazy light straw coloured with a big creamy white head. Aroma of yeast and citrus. Taste is crisp and fresh, everything I want from a hefeweizen, but it lacks some in the malty base, too much spices shining through. Average.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 KimJohansen (10339) - Copenhagen V, DENMARK - DEC 13, 2009
Hazy orange with a medium sized white head. Sweet fruity aroma with yeast and wheat notes. Rotten fruits in the flavour along with wheat and mild hops.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 RuneStumo (1465) - FØRRESFJORDEN, NORWAY - DEC 4, 2009
04.12.2009, 0,5l Bottle from Fenaknoken, Oslo. Batch #925. BB 08.2001. Pale golden yellow colour with white head. Aroma is wheatmalt with some lemony flavours. Body is a little to thin and the aroma is weak. There is also some banana flavours and a nice bitterness. Aftertaste is also bitter and aromatic. Not my favourite german hefeweizen.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 berlinoise2go (383) - NORWAY - NOV 8, 2009
Bottle, 50cl, from Fenaknoken, Oslo. Batch 925. Hazy pale yellow colour. Large head which quickly settles down. Aroma of citrus, banana - a bit buttery. Palate was initially fascinatingly flat and a disappointing, weak taste. Things improved when the beer warmed up a few degrees - more lively carbonation, and a tangy, dry flavour with hints of banana. Weak bitter aftertaste. All in all too watery and lack of body.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Sigmund (3724) - Hafrsfjord, NORWAY - SEP 23, 2009
500 ml bottle, bought at Fenaknoken, Oslo. ABV is 4.5%. Brew #925. Some sediment in the bottle. Pale yellow colour, slightly hazy, huge white head. Strong perfumed aroma, distinct notes of ripe bananas and cloves. Light bodied and crisp mouthfeel. The flavour has notes of cloves, with a "dusty" finish, but I’d like a more pronounced presence of malts. Still refreshing and drinkable.
