Gift from Rune :) 0.5L brown bottle 4.5%abv, pours a 2-finger diminishing off-white head on the unclear orange-brown body. Spices, grass, sweet malts and toffee to the nose. Malts, fruity hops, roasted malts, herbs to the tongue. Easy on palate and average carbonated, alright body. Finishes with chocolate, sweet malts, grains and some hops, and a little sour at last. Overall tasty and easy likeable.

Flaske 0,5l. Gave fra Rune. Mørk rødbrun. Uklar. Lavt, litt farget skum. God krydderaroma. Smaken litt anonym. Litt krydder & frukt. Blir litt syrlig etter hvert. Litt bunnfall. KI=2

ClubGonzo (4107) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 12, 2014
Bottle from Matkroken Natland, Bergen. Pours a slightly hazy deep amber body with a small white head. Aroma is sweet herbs, strawberries, grains, hints of straw and nuts. Taste is cereals, grainy malts, mild soapy herbs and hints of nuts and straw. Light body, medium carbonation. A lot more herbal and grainy than most German dunkels, but then again: Inderøy has not exactly a bright track record when it comes to brewing to (alleged) style. A fairly drinkable "Norwegian-farmhouse-style"-dunkel, but no more.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2014 21.12.2013, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Big slightly fizzy mediumlasting head. Aroma is weeds, hay, light malts, slightly roasted grain, yeast. Taste is slightly dry grainy, hay, yeast, light malts, weeds, wet grain, grass. Medium bitterness. Boring, and I think I’d rather call this a golden or amber ale rather than a dunkel.

Appearance: Brown color with an off white layer that leaves some lacing.
Aroma: Slightly sweet caramel malty and some fruity notes.
Palate: Medium body. Slightly sweet and a mild bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Dominating caramel malty as usual for this style. Some fruity notes.
Overall impression: Just another Norwegian grocery store Christmas dunkel.
Personal stats: Bottle from Varnaveien Mineralvann in Moss, Norway.

Fra flaske på Cardinaltreff jan-13: kobbergylden. "Münchener Dunkel" iflg etiketten. Lite aroma. Tørr og kjedelig, får meg ikke til å tro på nissen.

Sampler from bottle at Nærbø Ølfestival 2011 at the Cardinal stand. Clear amber body with a rim in off-white. Yeasty, roasted, fruity, prune nose. Grows in the mouth. Medium body. Sweet and fruity. Light syrupy texture.

Beer4000 (4518) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 3, 2010
500 ml bottle. Almost clear dark, amber body with a fine, lasting beige head. Relativity moderate but pleasant aroma of malt, some caramel and light yeast. Flavor is nice and refreshing malt with some caramel and hint of fruity yeast, not much bitter. A nice, well crafted session beer, smooth, flavorful and balanced without being particular outstanding in any direction. Definitely one of the better Christmas beers available outside the state monopoly.
