COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Lightly brown, rocky head. Very nice aroma of flowers, hops, malts ... it is subtle but has some complexity. Modeately bitte,r moderately sweet caramel flavour. Very complex and well balanced flavour imho. Seen the ABV, I think this is a very good beer.

Bottle. Beautiful red brown body. Medium sized lasting white head. Heavy hoppy aroma, very fresh. Hoppy flavour, a little sweet but in fact really dry. Easy drinking with quite a lot of flavour. (Den Gode Nabo, Trondheim, 07.04.09)

Cloudy brown, aroma dominated by hoppy flowers. A light, but not watery, body, and a mouthful of bitterness. This is a seriously good beer!

0.5l bottle from Fenaknoken, Oslo. This English style pale ale has a dark unclear copper colored body with a nice medium off-white head. Aroma is light fruity and malty with notes of peaches and some fruity hops. Lively carbonation, medium to light-bodied and it has a light oily mouthfeeling. Tastes quite malty with a really nice, yet surprisingly, licorice flavor in the end. Hints of fruits and some yeast. Ends light watery with a mild little bitterness. Yeah, this was really a nice little surprise.

Bottle from Fenakroken. Batch no 822. Pours cloudy copper with a fierce, medium tan head. Smells fruit, peas, herbs and a bit of earth. Sweet caramel flavours balanced by appropriate bitterness. Some peppery spices. A bit fizzy and body could be fuller. Still enjoyable.

Bottle. (#813) It pours a nice dark golden to copper body with a good carbonation forming a dense, off-white head. Sediments in the bottle. Even though I left most of the sediments in the bottle, yeast dominates the aroma. Fruityness and caramel sweetness in the background. The hops are more evident in the mouth, where it gives a citrusy flavor and a pleasant bitterness. Fruity too, and with malt and caramel. Smooth, medium body. Maybe a bit on the sweet side, almost candy-like notes, but finishes with a nice fruityness and bitterness. A pleasant welcome from Norway’s maybe smallest brewery. (081120)

Very dense, good white head, over hazy brown beer with red reflections. Greenery with curry - Indian veggie curry, cauliflower smell. Sweet, molasses and liquorice, and fresh maltbread. Not too sweet or cloying. Medium bodied at best. OK beer, interesting other grain touches, even if it doesn’t seem to be one.

Hazy brownish red. Nice near-white head. Pleasant aroma of fresh green peas, citrus and herbs. Slightly roasted malt flavor with some fruity acidulous notes. Fine hopbitterness. Light- to medium-bodied. Very refreshing and moreish. (500 ml bottle kindly provided by KnutAlbert)

@ LCRBM 2009. A clear dark orange colored beer, with a thick beige head. The aroma of hop bitter with sweets of fruits like berries. The taste is sparkling, bitter hops with sweet fruits like citrus and berries. The aftertaste is bitter with some sweet.
