An easy drinking quaffer that had more of the hallmarks of an 80’s Aussie bitter than that of the English kind. It produces up a very attractive indeed, sparkling orange amber with a steady, whipped up mousse of white atop that frosts over the glass. Nose is subtle but does offer up some grainy, wholemeal and earthy floral hops. On the palate it is light with medium carbonation giving it the overall mouthfeel of a pale lager. Good bitter edge though it soon becomes a little metallic in taste. Malt is dusty but reserved. There is a subtle sweetness outlined by orange citrus and delicate floral notes. Ends grassy and floral but is crisp and fades off quickly. Would love to see this one the beer engine as I think they’re on to a winner in the upcoming Summer quaffer dept. Not bad!
