12oz. Bottle: Got in trade from fiveacestx; THANKS Cam! Aroma of malt, squash, and pumpkin, with hints of grain, cereal, and bread. Poured orange in color with a small, creamy, dense, white head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of tiny and small-sized particles throughout. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of malt, squash, pumpkin, and some caramel. Medium body. Lightly chalky, lightly dry texture. Soft carbonation. Malt, squash, pumpkin, slight caramel finish is dry, slightly chalky, and slightly sticky.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Ibrew2or3 (4985) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - NOV 1, 2011
12oz bottle pours deep copper with weak off white head. The aroma is a little dusty and has dark fruity esters, dusty caramel malts, prunes and black berries as well as a bit of metal and more dustiness. The taste is also dusty and a bit astringent. I quickly pick up additional notes of prunes and dates. It slides toward earthiness, spoiled produce and some caramel too. OK, this isn’t that great.

Pours a clear copper color with a one finger thick off white head. Very light lacing. Aroma and flavor is toasted caramel malt and herbal hops. Medium body. Didn’t detect the off flavors the previous raters mentioned. A decent beer.

A very strong grassy aroma. Flavor is a bit buttery at the edges with some malt. Also, seems a bit alcoholic surprisingly. Decent.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20 JohnC (2910) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - MAY 18, 2010
12oz bottle purchased at Whole Foods, Tustin, CA.
This pours hazy golden with a large white head that quickly disappeared; well, at least it looked ok...
Slightly skunky aroma with a flavor that had a decidedly lemony-tart finish. If this were called a sour (w/o funk) it would be somewhat decent, but as a marzen, it’s a loser.
