On tap at Pizza Port on New Years day, for some reason. (16oz pours for $3, they had to be getting rid of this ASAP) Pour is a hazy golden brown with white head. Aroma of gym socks soaked in allspice but not in a funky and good way. Taste is a nasty hot pumpkin pie spice mess. Avoid.

Pailhead (4812) - Brownstown, Michigan, USA - NOV 6, 2013
Bottle: The aroma consists of consists of light-moderate nutmeg, cinnamon, light graham cracker, and pumpkin. It pours a mostly transparent amber with a touch of haze and a large yellow-tinted off-white head that has good retention. There is a good amount of soapy lacing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of nutmeg and cinnamon. It’s instantly dominated by moderate-heavy sour lemon/lime in the finish. There are also some vegetal notes that struggle to get past the lemon/lime flavors. It’s light bodied with lively and prickly carbonation. Overall, it smells pretty good, but flavor-wise, there’s some serious problems here.

Bottle. Pours dark amber, white head. Aroma is pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice. Taste is pumpkin pie. If I didn’t like pumpkin beers so much I’d have to rate this much lower.

Bottle; didn’t write down the color, but nothing real noteworthy. Aroma of spice, gingerbread, and veggies. Palate was real thin. Some decent pumpkin spices, but a strange sweetness to it. Maybe a bit better than expected

Bottle. Clear copper pour, huge head. Sweet, very spicy, clove, light cinnamon, not much pumpkin, and watery. Not very good, but at least it was cheaper than Budweiser.

Worst attempt at a pumpkin ale I have ever had, and I’ve had them all because it’s my favorite seasonal beer and favorite time of year when the pumpkin ales come out . Definitely has no pumpkin flavor at all but a lot of spice-in fact, it tastes like a bottle of liquid "Old Spice" soap/cologne. Seriously, I felt like I was drinking a bottle of perfume/cologne/liquid soap. Horrible taste. Bought it at Fresh and Easy and drank one. Threw away the rest.

I picked this up in the bottle from Total Wine in Henderson, NV. A watered down pumpkin ale with hints if pumpkin and fall spices. A lingering spice aftertaste. Not one of my favorite pumpkin ales. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a light orange color with a very small white head. Aromas are punpkin pie and spices. The beer tastes very thin and dry with a good amount of spices and pumpkin taste. It tastes like more of a lager than an ale. Its not bad and I could drink a couple but its nothing special.

Purchased at Total Wine on my trip to Vegas. Pours a golden-orange colour with an off-white head and decent lace. Fresh pumpkin purée smell with biscuit malts and nice soft spices. Thin mouthfeel and the taste is pretty much the same as pumpkin filling for pies. Definitely the closest thing to fresh pumpkin spiced purée I had in a pumpkin brew.

12oz bottle pours clear copper / gold with weak 30 second near white head. The aroma is big with winter time spices, pumpkin, graham cracker and an out of place sense of lime. The taste is similar starting with fairly bold winter spices and then quickly picking up pear like sweet fruity esteriness before the pumpkin notes join in the fray. This is an interesting brew that slides in and then out of cohesion as it meanders its way into the finish.
