On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orangey gold with moderate-sized white head. Aroma is quite sweet and full of ripe tropical fruits. Flavour has very lively and sweet tropical fruit character with some resiny hops. Some alcohol warmth in the finish. Mellow carbonation. Slick mouthfeel. Quite nice.

Very clear pale golden pour. The nose has a very bright citrus and some yeasty spice as well. Clean bitterness with some bright tropical notes. A little bit of soft bitterness and a bright fruitiness. Very tasty brew.

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy orange color, big white head. Aroma of yeast, and some tropical fruit, and sweet, fruity malts. Doesn’t remind me of a belgian ipa. Its kinda a cross between a belgian strong, and a triple. Interesting finish, quite fruity, and yeasty, but some nice pine hops come through with some slight citrus.

2013-09-19. Crisp dark orange body with a nice beige head. 3++ Aroma is pleasant, hoppy estery character, turns alcoholic. 7+ Flavour is fairly bitter, pleasant citrusy hops up front, fair bit of alcohol in the second wave. Lingering hops in the finish and aftertaste. 7++ Smooth average plus to medium bodied palate, moderate carbonation. On tap at Indie Alehouse, Toronto

On tap at Indie Alehouse. Pours a crystal clear copper/gold with a one finger egg shell headthat covers the glass in lacing.Aroma has notes of sugar, bubblegum, and slight spice.Taste is a balanced bitter with a spiced, bitter, warm alcohol finish.Medium body with a low-medium, frothy/bubbly carbonation. Slick mouth feel without being too oily or resiny.Overall very nice. A good amount of bubblegum and spice with a great texture. Good show.

On tap at Indie ale house. Darker amber colour than the ’American’ verision; makes me think the recipe is not the same. Esters on the aroma, but muted, and a bit of ketchup chips from the alcohol note, spice and nutmeg dominate then aroma with pungent hoppy notes. Yeasty texture, very soft beer compared to the american. Shows some leafy bite and a little sweet and spicy on the finish. Grows into something complex after a whiles that she’s been breathin there by’. Some tasty!

Draught at Indie Alehouse. Pours a clear deep golden-orange with a spare lasting frothy off-white head. Interesting and pleasant aroma, with Belgian yeast, lots of fruit, some light sweetness, bready malt and a good amount of hops. Flavour is lightly sugary sweet and fruity first followed by alcohol and hops in the bitter finish. Medium bodied. Very good stuff, it’s a touch boozy and sweet for me, but just a touch, it’s lovely.

(Draught at Bellwoods, Sep 11 2013) Pours a deep burnt orange colour, small dense white head faded fast, little lace. Aroma an interesting combination of hops/yeast/malt. Definitely fruity and floral, but reminded me of temperate pit fruit notes - peach, apricot, maybe yellow plum. Slight clove/spice character, bit of honey malt sweetness. Flavour is again fruity, estery, with more of the pit fruit character along with sweetness from the malt to start, before the yeast takes over a bit with some slight spice, on the finish there is some light hop bitterness and a little bit of booze along with a lingering sweetness. Body fairly full, carb soft, feels somewhat rich. This is definitely a tasty beer, the hop profile wasn’t as in-your-face as DIPA would normally be and the yeast was powerful, making this come across as more of a hoppy Belgian. Very good for what it is, sweetish but fruity, still prefer the Bellwoods version though!
