On tap at Volo. Pours a cloudy golden colour with modest-sized white head. Aroma is apple, spice. Flavour is quite spicy, fruity and citric. Sort of sour, weird finish. Ok.

Cask at Cask Days 2011. Beer #9 of festival. Pours a hazy golden-orange with a small semi-lasting bubbly white head. Quite lovely hoppy and yeasty aroma along with some fruit and spices, it’s simple but it works. Flavour is yeasty and fruity along with a good amount of hops and malt in the background -- pretty dead on for a Belgian IPA. Big bitter finish. Medium bodied. Another solid beers from these guys.

Tap at Volo. The aroma is quite spicy and peppery. There is a little bit of light fruit and a spicy sort of clove character. A touch of mint in addition to a fairly assertive hop bitterness. A little bit of fruit and some heavy sort of minerally bitterness. There is a touch of light medicinal bitterness as well. There is a touch of lingering bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[4050-20111030] Cask. Fruity orange yeast aroma. Slightly hazy, medium orange body with a quick bubbly head. Bitter orange roughage flavour has a light malty yeast throughout. Medium body. Good bitter. (6/3/8/4/13) 3.4

On tap at The Rhino. Emphasis on the Belgian. I was getting a strong, Unibroue yeasty-like Belgian, with a hoppy finish. Hop aromas.Peach colour with a quarter of an inch retained beige head. Good drinkability, corriander, significant musty yeast and some booziness. A little wheat. A sipper, but its good drinkability and mouthfeel. Some fruitiness.

A hazed amber IPA with a thin off white head. In aroma, Belgian spices, coriander, cloves, over floral hops, orange pulp, quite nice. In mouth, a smooth crisp malt with curacao, floral hops, light green apples, very nice. Cask Days, Oct. 30 2011.

cask days 2011. nice subtle spice, some yeasty notes, and light fruit. with a quite decent pungent citrus hop punch. i would like to see this with a little more lively carbonation, but yes i know it’s a cask. finish was medium bitter with a good pithy, resinous hop finish. a touch oily i found in the finish. good stuff though.

Indie Ale House Belgian IPA Cask. Appearance: mildly hazy orange, tiny white head. Aroma: quite lemon like, good spiciness, quite yeasty. Flavour: fruity and yeasty, quite bitter, some nice spices again, a little mango with an alcoholic finish. I’ve really liked all of their beers so far. Can’t wait for the brewpub to open! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
