2012-01-02. Crisp dark brown body nice tan head fades a bit. 3++ Sweet lightly sugary malt and modest alcohol. 7++ Flavour is similar, pleasantly sweet sugary malt is more subtle than expected. Just a touch of dusty caramel malt in the finish. 7++ Smooth average plus to medium body is just a touch lighter than my preference but nice. 3+ Pretty solid. Balanced, well-done dubbel. Smells of bread yeast and some dark fruit - raspberries. Pours dark brown with lasting creamy head and medium lacing. Taste has perfumed bitterness and some booze. On tap at brewpub.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours a dark deep orange-amber with a small diminishing off-white head - slightly oily-looking. Aroma of bready malt, toffee, yeast, sugar, some fruit and alcohol. Flavour of yeast, sugar, toffee and fruit -- somewhat simple but easy to drink. Average bodied. Oily mouthfeel. Pretty good stuff.
