COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A key beer in the craft beer revolution. IPAs were originally made in the 1800s in England with extra hops and alcohol to survive the long sea voyage from England to India for the troops there and became so popular for the refreshing bitter taste that the rest of the world soon caught on. When home brewers started experimenting in the 1970s and 80s this style led the way and today it is the most popular style of craft beer. Ours is an homage to those first craft brewers that went looking for trouble.

Pours cloudy light amber colour with just a slight white head lacing the glass well. Mild citrus aroma. Taste is mild with medium bitterness and malt seems dominant.

650ml bottle from Indie Ale House in Toronto, Ontario. Bottled in July 2014. Golden copper in colour with a lingering white head, excellent lacing. The aroma has loads of citrus and tropical fruits, some pine, some sweet malt. The flavour is quite hoppy with lots of citrus and pine, malt sweetness balance. Bitter mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long with a good hop bitterness.

Tapped at the Indie Ale House brewpub. Overall a very good IPA. After a 2 km walk to the bar in high humidity covered Toronto this was my first beer and damn was it good! Biscuit malt, loads of citrus and bitter hops plus a refreshing character. A great IPA for me.

Bottle from the brewery store. Hazy peach-gold with a good sized white head. Punchy and pungent aroma that is heavy on the hops as expected - citrus, pine and tropical fruit all coming on strong - with a faint hint of sweet biscuit malt. Soft body with mellow carbonation, reminding me of a cask ale. Flavour follows the aroma, with big, fruity and floral hops, and a lingering finish of resin and orange peel. All of this without becoming aggressively bitter or astringent.

650 mL bottle. Hazy honey with a lacy white head. A touch of tropical fruit on the nose, peach, much citrus, a hint of pine and some very mild caramel malt tones. Bone dry and pleasantly bitter. Slightly thin for my palate, with light to moderate body and below average carbonation. Very refreshing.

Pour at Only Cafe pours orange brown with an impotent head. Not a lot of carbonation in this one. Light citrus on the tongue & refreshing. What makes this different from the other local IPAs? Its super refreshing. Those worried about sessionable will be pleased. Love the aftertaste & how it spirals long after the sip. Other IPAs wish they had this sustain.

Nice looking 650 ml bottle from the brewery., bottled this month. A hazy gold-orange colour with white wispy head. Leaves nice lacing on the glass. On the nose I am getting pine and some straw/grassy malt. If you ignore the hops it smells like Coors Light to me. Taste: caramel malt, a bit grassy, mild bitter finish. Very easy drinking. A good IPA but not a standout.

22oz bottle in a plastic hotel cup. Pours hazy amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of floral, citrusy, light fruity, and lightly bitter hops, caramel and pale malts, and a light doughiness. Flavor the same with a nice hoppiness. Average texture. A solid IPA.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear pale copper with an off white head with some nice citrus and mild resin that is really easy to drink, balanced and tasty.

Hazy but very golden colour. hoppy cirtrusy aroma with hints of pine cones and a real light biscuit or malted note. Medium bodied brew and has that hoppy finish but overall this is a quiet brew for the style. Enjoyable none the less.

Cask at indie. Wow!! Pours clear gold limited head clumpy lacing. Nose is a hop punch! Notes of tropical fruit, resin, some sweet malt. Taste is medium bitter. Full sticky body with limited carbonation.
