COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A key beer in the craft beer revolution. IPAs were originally made in the 1800’s in England with extra hops and alcohol to survive the long sea voyage from England to India for the troops there and became so popular for the refreshing bitter taste that the rest of the world soon caught on. When home brewers started experimenting in the 1970’s and 80’s this style led the way and today it is the most popular style of craft beer. Ours is an ‘homage to those first craft brewers that went looking for trouble.

Tap at The Rhino. Pale golden pour with a thick creamy white head. The aroma is really solid. Bright fruity hops with both orange and lemon peel In abundance. Dry pale malt. Lots of soft pine along with a bit of zesty high notes on the back. Fresh and very tasty - a solid IPA.

A hazed golden pale ale with a thin big bubbled off white head. In aroma, a sweet solventy caramel malt with light floral hops. In mouth, a grassy biscuit with floral hops, clovers, a bit of rye, OK. Cask at Ontario Cask IPA Challenge, April 21, 2012.

On tap, nice pronounced head, aroma carries some floral and citrus hop, orange zest in there too. Very refreshing in the palate, sweet vanilla up front with a nice subtle bitterness on the back. Cheers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strong, tangy IPA - lots of bitter. Lots of extra hops. This has a spice to it beyond the hoppy bitters, and there are a lot of those. A classic IPA. On tap at Burger Bar.

aka Hoppy IPA. A melange of Amarillo, Centennial, Cascade,Galaxy, and Northern Brewer. A good rich citrus. Average mouthfeel. Reflecting late, dry hopping for the most part. Very good drinkability. Hazy orange-grapefruit appearance. Spot on American IPA. Hoppy citrus aromas.

On tap at The Burger Bar, bright honey gold color with a bubbly white head, mild floral, zesty, lemon, grapefruit peel, leafy, grassy hop nose, with some faint toasted, caramel malt notes in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a good soapy, sappy, leafy, grassy, hop pellets character, with a flowery citrusy lemon, grapefuit hoppy backbone and a subtle toasted, caramlized malt accent, leading towards a nice leafy, grassy, citrusy hop bitterness finish.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2012 [3970-20110921] Tap. Citrusy lemon juice hops aroma. Clear, orange body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head and some lacing. Fresh orange lemon bitter hops flavour has a wonderful lingering bitter bite. Medium-full body is bitter and lively. Delicious citrus overtones and balanced with bitterness, this is dangerously drinkable. (9/4+/8/4/16) 4.1
(TBW 2011 @ Burger Bar, Toronto, ON)

[4202B-20111218] Tap. Light mango fruit aroma. Clear, orange brown body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Bitter orange mango hops flavour has a sweet lemon aftertaste. Medium-full body. Quite tasty. (7/3+/8/4/16) 3.9

Draught at Burger Bar. Pours a clear golden-orange with an average size lasting frothy/creamy off-white head. Decent lacing on the glass. Aroma has a good amount of floral & citrus hops along with caramel malt, some light sweetness and fruit -- nice. Flavour of floral, perfumy hops, a bit sweet, along with caramel malt, a bit of yeast and a decent bitter finish. Medium bodied. Quite good, I really enjoyed it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lovely amber/copper with lingering head. Amazing aroma in this one of fresh citrus hops. Taste is similar, but doesn’t quite have the malt backbone to match. Impressive though!

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2011 2011-12-18. Orange body, nice off-white head and lace. 3+ Nicely hoppy in both aroma and flavour, but not crazy so, starts a bit green and leafy, mild citrus. 7+ Aroma is similar, pleasant hoppy character, modest greenery and citrus. Average plus palate. 3+ Less citrus forward than I remember it being (assuming this is the same recipe) but still nice 7/4/7/3/16 On tap as "Hoppy IPA" at Brewer’s Market, Toronto

2011-09-21. Crisp orange body with a nice creamy off-white head that lasts forever, and nice lace. 4+ Aroma has a good amount of hops, modest citrus and green leafy character. 7+ Flavour is rather well balanced, nice citrus hops and mild leafy green hops with just a kiss of resin. 8+ Average plus bodied palate suits the beer nicely. 3+ Orange and citrus character grows as you go. Really nice, it does not have the intensity or oomph of some IPAs, but it is ultra-drinkable. Delicious. 7/4/7/3/17 - 3.9 On tap at Burger Bar, Toronto
