Tap at Indie Alehouse in Toronto. Sweetish, roasty, nuts and cocoa. Body lightish medium. Some faint bitterness in finish, also ashy dry. A classic, albeit a bit too sweet and low on the sourish roasty black bread crust I look for in a Porter. Enjoyable nonetheless.

On tap at Indie. Pours black with an off-white head. Rich coffee aroma with notes of cocoa and dark fruit, toffee. Roasty coffee flavor turning into toffee, chocolate, and dark fruit. Really pretty impressed with this one; took a couple bottles home.

UPDATED: JUL 22, 2016 Dark pour, smaller head. Cocoa and nut in the aroma, roasted malt. Chocolate up front, coffee like bitterness, oatmeal, roast. A little too sweet and a tad to thin but still worth exploring.

Carbonatation moyenne-faible, corps moyen.

Draft - Nice roasty notes and some dark chocolate. Deep jet brown with a light brown head. Cocoa and lots of nutty sweet notes. Odd for a porter but pleasant.

On tap at the brewery. Stout brown, not much head. Smells a little roasty. Taste is sweet, roasty, and nutty. Body is excellent. Oatmeal. Great beer.

Dark and delicious. Unlike other Indie offerings, this brew has a smooth texture with a hint of coffee, chocolate, and hops.

FROTHINGSLOSH (6615) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 12, 2015
UPDATED: JUL 16, 2015 Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with an enormous foamy tan head that faded quickly but left good lacing. The aroma was coffee, a bit roasty and woody. The flavor was bitter and roasty with coffee, a hint of vanilla and wood. Long finish. Medium body. Meh.

Black beer with brown head. Coffee is the aroma and flavor, medium bodied, aftertaste builds with roasted flavours. Could be a bit richer, fairly nice.
