3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at the brewpub, Jan. 2. Pours a very deep ruby-brown with a small diminishing creamy tan head. Aroma of caramel malt, slightly roasty, and with graham crackers (7-). Lovely flavour of chocolate, graham crackers, lightly roasted caramel malt and vanilla (7+). Medium bodied, slightly creamy mouthfeel. Another pleasant beer from these guys.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
2012-01-02. Black body with a modest tan head. 4+ Pleasant aroma, sweet, sort of vanilla, marshmallow like character but Iím not sure I would choose that word if not for the name. 7++ Dark malt base, whisper of something vaguely Belgian about it? Flavour is similar, sweet vanilla up front, something that reminds me of Southern Tierís Creme Brulťe that I canít quite place. Enough bitterness in the finish to keep it more balanced than it could have been. 7++ Smooth medium body with modest carbonation suits it well. 3+ On tap at brewpub
