3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
spot on wit, on tap at the brewpub. An interesting spicy characteristic from the sea buckthorn. Nice tartness drinkability.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at Bar Hop. Pale golden pour with a thick fluffy white head. The nose is softly spicy and a little bit salty on the nose. Some vaguely fruity potpourri like notes - a bit of pinecone, cherry and a touch of cardamom and some light earthiness. Has a little bit of lingering fruitiness. Pretty nice.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(On tap at Barhop, Feb 13 2014) Pours a hazy dark orange-yellow with a small white frothy cap, some lace left behind. Aroma is floral, a bit spicy/herbal, some wheat, and fruity (light bubblegum and citrus). Flavour has this interesting fruity/floral/herbal character, lightly spicy, must be the sea-buckthorn berries because I’m not really familiar with it. There’s a little clean sweetness, some grainy character and a bit of a powdery yeast finish to it all, pretty dry and lightly bitter as it lingers on the tongue. Body is light to moderate and carb effervescent, very much on-style. One of the more interesting takes on the wit that I’ve had, the sea-buckthorn seems to bring a unique character but not one that’s completely in opposition to the traditional character of the beer. Very drinkable and refreshing.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a slightly cloudy golden colour with good-sized white head and solid retention. Aroma is on the mild side with some sweetness, fruit and wheat. Taste is quite sweet and fruity with interesting character that I have to think are the sea-buckthorn berries. Fine carbonation. Average body. Enjoyable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
2013-11-23. Crisp dark yellow body witha small off white head. Interesting floral and almost spicey character to the aroma. 7+ Flavour is mildly bitter throughout, interesting sort of floral and fruity character, lightly spicey but not really - I assume that that is likely the buckthorn but I am guessing. Average plus body. Decent. On tap at the brewpub, Toronto

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
[Draught at the brewpub.] Pours a hazy golden-orange with a long-lasting small frothy white head. Some lacing. Quite a mild aroma of sweet fruit, grain and citrus. Flavour is grainy and fruity along with a hint of spice.
Finish is a bit tart. Average to medium bodied. A nice, lightly fruity version of the style.
