[5863-20130928] Tap. Citrus grainy orange aroma. Hazy, light orange body with no lasting head. Bitter orange hops infusion in the flavour. Medium body has a nice light bitter bite in the finish. Medium body. Refreshing and good. (7/3/8/4/16) 3.8

On tap at Volo. A nice tartness, with a bit of nutty finish. Clear body with lots of bubby head. Nice drinkability, felt like some good souring added. Lively carbonation.

(Draught at Indie Alehouse, Oct 12 2013) Pours a slightly hazy gold with a tiny white head, no lace. Aroma pale grainy malt, very typically Belgian saison yeast with light fruitiness, herbal/grassy, very little nut in the nose even if looking for it. Flavour follows on from the nose at first, pale malts with slight sweetness and grain, fruity Belgian saison yeast esters, clean and herbal without funk. Faint grassy bitterness throughout, but moreso towards finish. Finish is dry, a light nutty note becomes apparent there, more chestnut than hazelnut from the listed additions. Don’t know if I’d have noticed without looking for it a priori. Average saison body, fairly sharp carb but on style. This was a decent effort at a standard saison, but I can’t say the nut additions did much. Expected a darker, nuttier beer with saison yeast and was a bit disappointed.

blankboy (6277) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 8, 2013
Draught at Indie Ale House. Pours a hazy gold with an average size diminishing frothy white head. Aroma of yeast, grain, herbs, fruit, light grassy notes and interestingly nuts. Fruity, yeasty and herbal flavour along with nuts, light hops and a light bitter finish. Average bodied. Enjoyable, everyone should put Ralph’s Nuts in their mouth.

2013-09-28. Hazy pastel yellow body is near headless. 3+ Aroma is relatively mild, pale malt lightly grassy and nutty. 6++ Flavour is mildish, pleasant lightly fruity character throughout, lightly nutty quality, chestnuts but not I am not confident that I would have specifically said that without knowing they were in there. Alcohol is almost non-existent at first - I am surprised by the stated abv on this one! Light bitterness throughout. Average bodied palate, modest carbonation. To the surprise of no one, Ralph’s Nuts are unassuming yet delightfully enjoyable. On tap at Volo 25th Anniversary Party
