Belgian style IPA Clear reddish amber with a medium slightly off-white head that is dense with a few that are bead size. Aroma of Belgian sugar and dried sweet stone fruits, it reminds me more of an English barley wine than anything else. Taste is mildly sweet with a slight bitter finish. There are some toffee notes and a slight grassy flavor but overall this is a confusing one. Personally I think they should just up the alcohol content and call this a barley wine. Sidenote I am not sure what the waxed cap with the string coming out signifies but it reminds me of a tampon more than anything else.

First bad beer I have had from this brewer. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark copper color with a medium sized foamy orange-tan head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was yeasty, chalky and a bit vegetal with a tangy bready presence. The flavor was bitter, tangy and off with a vegetal malt presence and notes of chalk and Pez.. Medium length tangy and off vegetal finish. Moderately full bodied. Bad.

Hazy amber gold beer with a tidy pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and slightly soft with fine carbonation. Smooth malt, with a little sweet caramel. Light spice and fruits - dried fruits. Finishes smooth. Not bad but I wanted a stronger hop presence.

12 oz bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Pours orange amber in color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have caramel malts, spicy Belgian yeast, light toasted bread, citrus hops. Hops were faded. Just a touch messy.

Bottle from GBBF 2013 drunk at home. Orange gold hazy colour with a thick beige head. Belgian yeast and American hop aroma. It’s ok as a Belgian hoppy beer. A little lacking in character, but the flavours are solid enough. I think like all the Indigo Imp beers I’ve had, they lack body especially on the finish, a lack of fullness, they dissipate into a forced carbonated bitterness. It’s ok, I am sure a lot better fresh. OK, Belgian style ale with some American hops.

12 oz. bottle shared by DrSilverworm- thanks, Chris! Waxed, with a string. Pours a semi-cloudy orange-gold with a small eggshell-colored white ring for a head. Aroma of sweet and amber malts, toasted sugar, grass, and straw. Flavor features more of the same, leaning more toward caramel and toast in the malts, with peanut brittle and leaves. Light-bodied, with a dry mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. A metallic note is in the middle, too. Seems like the hops have faded. Old, maybe?
